Good timing, Hydey. We just bought a car. Not a new one. Well, new to us.

mine is not brand new either but it is close enough.
2003 BA fairmont only 38,500 km on the clock.
It was owned by the catholic church, some bloody priest was driving it around. lolThe difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits
Hydey the no-limits man.

Ours is a Mitsubishi 4-door that converts into a station wagon for the dogs. Five years old, 52,000 kms on the clock, excellent condition, around $8500. Quite good value by Australian prices.
I'll check in later, around 1pm/9pm." ... and the following morning I should see the Boks wallop the Wallabies again?" - Havak

Taking time off from sh*t stirring in that rugby l***** thread. The words l***** and s***** (that round ball game) are verboten in our threads." ... and the following morning I should see the Boks wallop the Wallabies again?" - Havak

Same old same old. Are you in SK now, Horse? My god...you and Fin leaving Australia together must have averted any greenhouse effect for centuries to come...though Deity seems to contribute his fair share...Life and death is a grave matter;
all things pass quickly away.
Each of you must be completely alert;

Hi Sneak.
I won't be in Korea until the end of August.
Knocked Trev out of the game last night. My army was about to take one of his last major cities. Deity said he didn't want to play on but wouldn't concede defeat to me. I don't think he's beaten but if he wants to stop the game that is what he needs to do - clearly and unambiguously.
Since I've been fighting both of them alone for most of the game I thought that was pretty poor behaviour because I've really been under the gun. My civ was split in 2 by a sneak attack from deity but I've pulled the game out of the fire. Now when I start to get into a winning position people don't want to play on? WTF is that about? I've had to sit through lots of games where I wasn't in contention to win.
Unless things change I don't think these games are worth the time or effort. If I put the effort into something I expect to see it finished.
The best game I ever played was just like this one - hydey pulled out and makeo and I went for it - I lost that game but I didn't care - I had days off work to finish it - how different with this group. It was a game with similar challenges, a really interesting game - which is what this game is now. All 3 surviving players can win. So lets get into it, right? No. Really disappointed right now.
The compromise was the game would be continued at a later date but I'll believe that when I see it. This is the second game in a row where I have deity in a difficult situation which is waiting to be finished, and waiting, and waiting.
Trev's defeat is a turning point and creates a lot of very interesting challenges for all players. I just do not understand why players wouldn't want to play that out after all the hours we've put in - at least until a clear winner emerges and everyone agrees on that.Last edited by Alexander's Horse; July 9, 2005, 21:49.Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer.
