    More bullies...

    @Harry Tuttle:
    Was it you or Gareth that made the boxing irish in gold gulch? I'm wondering since I used the hands (tweaked them a bit) from that unit, and thus whether or not your sig should be on it

    @Sarsstock:
    Spare yourself the trouble of making police units. I sort of enjoy doing this and would like to do it myself, if you don't mind . If you've already started then by all means post it.

    If you havn't started, could you please post the other police units you modded, so I can use it as a reference? I can't seem to find them...

      Well I'm just glad to help if possible in any way Eivind.. if a title is what you need then a title is what you shall have.

      These are the three police units I put together for HT's Atomic Eagle II. However, I don't see these guys fitting into your Mafia scenario at all, state police and Mounties.

        Those are really nice, Chris! The police unit I was thinking of was of was the ones you posted over at CDG a long time ago, for a scenario you never finished. It was a fairly straightforward uniformed police unit with a stick. If you don't have it anymore, I can live perfectly without it. No sweat

          I could need some tips or ideas on what units to include in this scen, exept the ones I've already posted. Just type any ideas you guys should have here. Exept for the ones posted I will obcviously also have some FBI infantries and a police infantry or two. What else could I have?

            Well, that's debatable. When I made my units for GG I sampled from Gareth's work and added to it. The general rule of thumb I follow when adding sigs is to do as the author of the sampled work did, that is include all the sigs that are under the unit.

            To tell you th truth I don't really care if my sig is on there, the units were done in Failin'es fashion anyhow and the hands were probably by him originally.

              I use that general rule of thumb of yours as well, only in this case I wasn't sure if you or gareth made the hands, which I used. Anyhow, your sig is on it now though Thanks!

              And here's my first draft to the NYC cop Tell me what you think...

              @Sarsstock:
              For the title, I think I will name this scen "La Cosa Nostra".

              EDIT:
              Edited the cops a bit...

                Those cops are great Kobra! Albeit they look a little like armed postmen, but that's just the uniform. Nothing to do with your skill at all.

                    I'm no expert on this but I think that you could have a hierarchy of mobsters (in ascending order of abilities).

                    Numbers runners
                    Collectors
                    Informers (spies with limited abilities)
                    Enforcers
                    Mobsters
                    Hit men (assassins)
                    Consiglieri
                    Da Bosses

                    Mobsters' auxiliary units such as

                    Lawyers (diplomats who can bribe)
                    Rental agents (build quarters for new hideouts)
                    Union bosses
                    Ships and/or trucks (freights) carrying smuggled goods.

                    For the police, you could have the an equivalent structure of

                    Constable
                    Lieutenant
                    Captain

                    Police auxiliaries such as

                    SWAT team
                    Informer
                    Detective

                    This scen will certainly be populated with the nicest characters, won't it.

                        @Typhoon:
                        Thanks, my friend!

                        @AGRICOLA:
                        Thanks, John! This is just the kind of help I need! Keep the info coming!

                        What do you reckon about the top dogs on the power pyramide? What abilities or stats should the consiglieries and dons have? I mean, the higher you get the further away from the actual action you get, right? So, low attack, high def or something?

                        Anyway, here's some more wise guys

                        @All:
                        I'm still a little confused about where to locate the different families. How far stretched are their powers? Are there somewere a map of the different spheres' of influences of the different families?

                        And another thing, how big an emphasise should the jewish gangsters have on this scen? Since I can only have 7 civs, whereas 5 of them are for the families and the other two NYC and one police, can I somehow merge the jewish gangsters into one of the families' civ? Whith whom did they have relations, if any?

                        But most importantly, where to place the civs? Everyone couldn't be operating from the different little italy's, could they? If so, this will get crowded

                        Maybe I should make a bigger map...

                          Perhaps instead of the SWAT units you could use a "Riot Police" unit instead, which did exist at the time of this scenario. It would be roughly the same idea as modern SWAT units, they could possibly be mounted units as well for added mobility.
