Game Concept
-“The World is Flat”. Actually a round map of the Eastern hemisphere, as if Columbus' journey were to find a route to Asia, and nothing else
-No arbitrary point system. No invasion limitations.
Civilizations
-Euro (Start in/around Germany)
-Afikan (Starts in/around Zimbabwe)
-Indus (Starts in/around Fertile India)
-Asiatic (Starts in/around Fertile China)
Plus one (or two) of the below:
-Caucasus (NE Caspian)
-Oceanic (Australia)
Featured Rules
-1x1x, Deity
-2 Settler start

-1.5 tech Paradigm
-8 external trade routes per civ
-Extended Oracle (Industrialization)
-At least a dozen unique civ specific city names per civ. Why not use them??
-No Diplo guiding allowed
-Tech trading only when each offered tech was discovered by respective Civ
-No terraforming; ie.) use of added engineer options. You may chop forest, hack jungle, grow forest all you want. Explosive based terrain forming = off limits. Obviously farmland and rail are allowed
-Rah Rules for all else
INITIAL DISCOVERY OF THESE 3 TECHS HAS THE HOST CHANGE THE RULES TEXT AND RE-LOAD WITH CORRESPONDING RESOURCE VALUE:
-Iron Working; Iron goes from 4shields/0trade worth --> 4shields/3 trade worth
-Industrialization; Coal goes from 4shields/0trade worth -->5shields/4trade worth
-Automobile; Oil goes from 4shields/0trade --> worth 10shields/10trade worth
Unit Changes
-Diplomat cost 60
-(!!!)Legion 6/2 pike flag, 50 shield cost(!!!)
-Modern military unit index which expands unit specialization(s) and significantly weakens howitzers
Justification
Starting positions are thus far quite equidistant from the ~5~ oil middle east. Discrepencies in distance to reach said territory is made up subtly by land fertility. There is at least one LOCAL oil for each civilization. Coal is a little more plentiful, but also dotted with fairness in mind.

Schedule
Thanks for showing up bright and early this morning, everyone! We had one player sleep in and another improbable for reason of prior commitment, but it still looks like a strong base intererest for this game will provide the start we want next week.
For the original "World Is Flat" A game - our start date is:
USA November 21st @ 9:00am
Please confirm your availability this week, and set yourselves to be there
As you've surely noticed, I've also now added a B game for player consideration. Based on the availability and interest of both Deity and Makeo - this parallel game could surely turn into a powerhouse story rivalling Sunday's own.
Most likely scheduling time(s) for a B game would be USA Friday Nights, USA Saturday Mornings, or USA Saturday Nights - as I understand? I amongst others would delight to join a Saturday morning B game, but will let you two blokes figure it all out first
Good luck, and see the rest of you this Sunday morning
