  • I don't have Excel or MGE... But I think most or all GL threads are strictly about the standard Civ2 setup, so they probably don't factor in any values that can change when you're making a scenario... The 37.5 and 750 in that formula look like values that could be dependent on something.

    • Hmmm, ok, this is an event that Agricola and I have been discussing. I'm going to keep the names undisclosed so as to keep it secret for now as it's a bit of an Easter egg.

      Here's how it all goes:

I have one event for each saloon whereas a unit is killed, "A". Each civ specific event allows for the respawning of the unit killed, "A".

Now, I also have event that upon "A" being killed another unit "B" spawns. This event is not civ specific. Instead, the event is specified as being for "ANYBODY" and unit "B" is spawned as being under the "TRIGGERATTACKER".

Now, the question is, will unit "B" spawn each time under the "TRIGGERATTACKER" each time unit "A" is killed by a specific civ as specified in unit "A's" event?

      Hmmmmm?

Not sure I read you well, but if I did, here is how I believe it works

The unit "B" will spawn each time a unit "A" is killed by the Civ who was the first to kill a "A" unit; the "B" unit would then be under that same "first" civ.

If a second civ kill a "A" unit, as you noticed, the "anybody" trigger doesn't work, so nothing happens (except for the first event, i.e. the respawning of the "A" unit).

Not sure I was really intelligible...

        • Yeah, you're reading it sorta right. I think you might be correct, but I have yet to test it.

            • I think it seems ready!

Is someone willing to write a press release for this ground breaking scenario?

                • OK, I've been playing it a lot (I continued my game with the not last version), and I agree that it's ready for release!

That is, once you've finished your last graphics (Saloon owners + train to Chicago)...

Harry, let me tell you this is superb work!!

                  • Indeed!

Incredible design quality is something that Harry's scenarios have in great amounts!

Anyone playing the Atomic Eagle series can attest this!

Now, a new classic has joined the ranks!

Yes, yes, I know. Fairline mentioned something the other day about making them so I'm going to focus on the sounds for right now.

I just love CD quality sound. It transfers so well...

Harry: guns, knives, bottles or un-armed? The graphics of the saloon owners, that is.

Your choice! These guys were entrepeneurs in the Black Hills so I wouldn't be surprised if they would use a rusty spoon if they disliked a man enough.

                              • Here you go Harry. I've made them taller than the rest of the units so they stand out a bit. Couldn't resist the Daniel Day-Lewis in 'Gangs of New York' figure with a meat-cleaver

Now there's an idea for a scenario: Gangs of New York
