    I thought Petrograd was the name the Bolsheviks, not the whites, used after seizing the city rather than Petersburg.

      I thought it was Leningrad.

        St. Petersburg was renamed Petrograd at the start of the Great War as the Tsar felt the former was too German-sounding. The city was then renamed Leningrad after Lenin's death in 1924.

          Curt, I shuddered when I saw how you'd represented Australia. It's almost all wrong

          Please see the updated version of your save I've attached to this file for how Australia actually looked in 1914.

          You'll note that I got rid of Broome and Cooktown, each of which had (and still have) a population of only a few hundred people as well as Canberra, which didn't even exist until after WW1. I've moved Brisbane and Adelaide and adjusted the populations of most cities in Australasia. I've also renamed 'Wellington' to 'Auckland' as judging from where you've placed the city, that's what you're trying to represent

          Depending on gameplay issues, you may want to convert the Adelaide-Perth road to a RR. The line across the Nulabour was finished just before WW1.

          True. It was however vital to the British Royal Navy. The Persian oilfields became vital to Britain's security the minute Churchill decided that all future battleships would burn oil and not coal.

          Nope. Rabaul was the only town of note in New Guniea. The Germans should start off with some pacific islands - I'm pretty sure that they had Truk and Naru.

                  First of all, sorry for not being along the last day or two!
                  Dratted university work, and long 3D renders taking up my time!

                  @our_man:
                  That’s just the kind of thing I had in mind, undeveloped areas that will take a long time to grow,
                  but a few hard units will swing the balance!

                  I want it to feel like an empire /buildgrab and a war rampage!

                  Getting units from one place to another will put you at the mercy of the enemy navies!

                  Especially the Unter-see boots!

                  But don't worry!
                  I have not ignored naval power in this scenario!

                  @Sarsstock:
                  That is the kind of thing I have in mind for the Tzarists! The bolshies will appear when you lose certain cities, and they won’t be giving up!
                  They’ll be hard to defeat, but it might be possible.
                  A fitting punishment for being crap!

                  @GePap:
                  That’s an darn fine idea!

                  @Boco:
                  I will consider all of this.
                  You are right, there is much potential to make the scenario mechanics work in the way our_man described - top class!
                  And I like the idea of capable units being pricey!

                  @Kobra:
                  Yes, it is the D3 file, you have to start somewhere!
                  And thanks for that priceless info!

                  And that’s a nice map! It will be a fine guide Cheers!

                  @rmsharpe:
                  Don’t you worry, squire!
                  I have taken your advice into account – I value your input a lot!

                  @Case:
                  This save was taken from the dictator scenario, so please excuse the inaccuracy of the Australian regions!
                  I knew about Canberra, and was set to remove it, but it was an oversight!

                  But cheers, big time for that map edit!

                  Time to get on with this!

                        The units are still to be given a proper credit, so if you do not see your name on any unit, don't worry!

                            I was thinking about your aircraft selection, Curt. I think Boco's right - you maybe have a few too many British types. At most I would have 3 upgrades of fighter; maybe an Avro 504 (1914), Nieuport (used by both the British and French - 1916) and Camel (1917).

                            Do you think there should be French cavalry and possibly French African troops?

                            I'm not sure about the Lancia, either. They were unusable for the Italians in their main theatre of operations against the Austrians in the Alps and were mainly used against for policing Libya. Perhaps a British or Russian AC - the Brits were the first to field them and the Russians used them extensively. I may be able to come up with a Lanchester or Austin-Putilov if you decide on the British or Russians.
