  • Awriiiight!

I'll wait a bit for SG[1] and/or Six to have a chance, else it will be the top of the order (me) for the next round.

(Translation -- I do have a couple of other things distracting me, so I may have to wait a bit anyway...)

    • Last time I checked, it was you at the top of the order, with Six and SG after you. No getting out of it that easily!
But don't worry - the game will soon be done.

Looks like the "sliders" are still on hold, so it must be you, OnS.

        • Yup, I'm holding the bag. (have two RL items to distract me and only a couple of other obligations -- so should be here soon.)

          • I've started and am about halfway through -- a few more cities (now over 100) and the red wonder count is also higher...

            • Post the save tonight, log tomorrow. (Somewhat underexciting, but rather necessary, I suppose.)

              • Looks good, OnS. The log will help make sense of this sprawl, though.

Looking at the Wonders Screen is kind of strange. The number of "red" ones is mounting. This was a good idea for a game objective.

                  • Still waiting the OnS log, but that's OK. Bought a new (used) comp last night, so I have to go through the re-install-all-your-pet-programs experience (i.e. Civ2 MGE).

                    • Babs -- 20 C, 48T
                      Fre -- 5C (3 seen), 37T
                      Cart 3C (2 seen), 37T

And we have 94C, 51T, and a small problem with hygiene.

Now that we have the shining tower, we can obtain other wonders…and crumble them into dust. Shrink any city larger than size eight -- get rid of aqueducts and sewers on sight. We’re in Fundy mode and at war with everyone -- aka situation typical. Sell off a couple of granaries & kick off.

1832 (1) -- Proceed to shrink some cities holding on to stuff better dusted. also sell off the infrastructure there one at a time. Deliver a van -- Aleppo Gems (d) to Nippur = 606 (hmmm not bad.) Steal Fundy from Nippur while we’re there & get a round of upgrades. found West Aztecia (for obvious reasons.) Deliver three more vans for 158, 54, & 104 -- at least its something. Take Shur (+99) Destroyer empties Leptis & a Rifle jumps the boat to take it (+62.) Hmmm only 13 Barracks -- we’ll need vets now that the world is close to parity.

1834 (2) -- Nanking disbanded, (Teo & Teno are sizes 3 & 2 and shrinking…) found N Ur and E Ur on the Bab coast and drop off some visitors. move lots of troops and found Nan 2 just because. Gems to Ur = 142.

1836 (3) -- discover Lead (yes a bit late, oh well.) & opt for Steel over Elec2, Ref1, and T.G. Salt to Ur = 224. Espy Orleans & Rheims -- now see all of Carts and French. Also now have 28 barracks. Troops on the move…

1838 (4) -- Teno is gone. Espy Uruk (and other Bab cities on their homeland -- Uruk is on an island.) Move, move.

1840 (5) -- Teo is gone. Lose some stuff but take Carthage (+244)

Notes -- we have about four boats of stuff in the water a turn or two from the Bab shore -- looking forward to seeing these guys in use. Almost all of the Dragoons are vets, some of the 40+ crucs are as well. Most of the Fanatics are vets (When in doubt build another Fanatic! -- you heard it here first.) We may want some vet cannons in the package -- only a few are there.

The French & Cart theatres are on their own (virtually anything loose was shipped west via rail/boat to the green front) -- we’ll need a few dips to take out the walls of Paris; two other French cities have walls but two don’t. Current price of Rhiems was over $1K, so it was left for the time being. Only one small Cart city remains -- probably cheap.

Hmmm with JR, La Fayette, ... yet to play, I don't think I'll see this again either.

                          • Lost the email that held the .sav in the transition. A fresh download is being sent homeward.

Dinner tonight, Ming's Friday, probable honey-do Saturday, and Father's Day plans (golf with Ming, Rah, and another buddy) Sunday. So it will be awhile

But the good news is that the patch is installed and Civ2 is back online in the Rabbit Hutch.

Houston, we are cleared for takeoff...

Are you referring to the areas in which his shots land, or the tales that are told about these shots when they retunr to the nineteenth?
