Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
From one strat guy to another....our world is dimmer for the loss.
The list of published books grows. If you're curious to see what sort of stories I weave out, head to Amazon.com and do an author search for "Christopher Hartpence." Help support Candle'Bre, a game created by gamers FOR gamers. All proceeds from my published works go directly to the project.
I don't spend much time here, but I appreciate the extent of the man's contribution to this community. It is good to hear that it extended to other areas of his life as well. Our loss is the next realm's gain.
Condolences to all those who knew him well.
Death awaits you all...with nasty, big, pointy teeth
Having not visited this site for a month or so it comes as a terrible blow to come here today and hear this news. I make one of my rare appearances from the world of lurking to give my fullest condolences to SG1/3 and all the regular posters on this section of the site, who I am sure are already missing him like hell.
He was a first class poster and I would always appreciate reading his contributions - he was one of the greatest attractions to lurking this site. It is difficult to believe he has gone. I do not believe I have ever exchanged words with him - and and now I never shall. That is my loss. I will miss him.
Keep playing, everyone, it is what he would have wanted.
Oh. I've been absent from these forums lately, and today I decided to visit Apolyton and see what's new, and then I saw a link in the "About Apolyton" section... and found these terrible and sad news.
I was never an active Civ2 player here, but I remember SG[2] as a respected and loved member of this community. Sad, very sad.
To La Fayette, as fine a gentleman as ever trod the Halls of Apolyton
From what I understand of that Civ game of yours, it's all about launching one's own spaceship before the others do. So this is no big news after all: my father just beat you all to the stars once more. - Philippe Baise
I'm afraid I was gone for so long from this forum I didn't realize...
I was always Kind of iffy about the 3 Gits, except that [3] was, I think, a daughter, and [2] was the master civ player that built the lighthouse and magellan and ruled the seas with super ironclads.
But the thing that frew me in was...
"THE GREAT LIBRARY MUST BE BUILT!!"
I did a bit to help with that, before I dropped out.
he did his work before he left.
May I be finished with mine before I leave.
Condolences to [1] and [3]. he will be missed.
Any man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a BEAST
I was just about to point out that Horsie is simply making excuses in advance for why he will suck at Civ III...
...but Father Beast beat me to it! - Randomturn
First my apologies for not responding earlier. Seems to me I missed this thread in my hiatus. I think DaveV hit the nail on the head with his words so i shall not repeat them. I too found SG(2) to be a talented civver as well as a humurous read (can only imagine what the man was like in person after a bottle of red!)
Its sad to lose someone who has touched the community in a variety of ways. May you rest in peace and hopefully have a computer outlet wherever your final resting place is.
