I guess that's the best choice but won't our warrior be wounded? So unless we get a promotion out of our first fight (which I don't think is likely) then won't we have to spend a few turns healing? Especially since we know there was a bear to the east. Or do we just keep him exploring while wounded?

Better wounded than dead, but yea, we need to decide whether to heal up or whether to continue exploring.Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

Damn. Somehow Apollo got on "Automated" (the only thing I can imagine by keystroke > perhaps with naming geography??)
He moved NW automatically. Sorry.
The wolf won't be a problem, but essentially two turns of his movement are lost. Or should we send him in another direction? But I think this is not our intention.

Hmm.. we really need to take a joint decision..
With one turn R&R our combat odds should be good enough
1.9 x 1.25 (hills) x 1.1 (animal combat) = 2,61 vs 2.0
that is something like a 22 % chance that the lion wins, so 78% for us.
Pro:
* good chance
* after combat we get promotion
Con:
* the obvious, we lose
What say you?
