Now it is 3 vs 3..
I guess we need DNK or Robert to make the decision
(or does anyone want to change his position?)
I would suggest the Forest promotion.. because with two of these we will be able to move 2 tiles, if the first is a forest tile.
Here you can test it yourself.
Choose the Brits and then you can check 10 little islands with 10 barb-lion fights..
(well in the end it is about the % we discussed earlier..)
But interestingly in some cases the lion doesn't attack..
so actually we have slightly better odds, as if the lion does not attack (10%) it will move away and then we can safely move towards the forested hills.

Stay where we are and go for promotion.
If successful what promo is suggested.
Also assuming survival, what would our health level drop to and then to what level with promo.
Any simulations?

Currently we have a 2 vs 3 vote:
Rest for one turn, stay were we are and go for promotion: Ben Kenobi and Calanthian
Retreat to forest (either SE or NW): Ozzy, MzProx and Dinner.

If I'm correct: no
(we can see the bear at screenshot of turn 10)
but we could run into another animal (in all directions)..

78% is not good enough, I say retreat to forest and rest there before continuing the journey. we will get xp later with better odds

Hmm.. we really need to take a joint decision..
With one turn R&R our combat odds should be good enough
1.9 x 1.25 (hills) x 1.1 (animal combat) = 2,61 vs 2.0
that is something like a 22 % chance that the lion wins, so 78% for us.
Pro:
* good chance
* after combat we get promotion
Con:
* the obvious, we lose
What say you?

This turn nothing special. The wolf attacked.
At 90% of hit points. Moved back to the hill we came from; next turn to forrested hill for some R&R.

Damn. Somehow Apollo got on "Automated" (the only thing I can imagine by keystroke > perhaps with naming geography??)
He moved NW automatically. Sorry.
The wolf won't be a problem, but essentially two turns of his movement are lost. Or should we send him in another direction? But I think this is not our intention.

We should come out of this with experience and not too much damage. But hey the RNG is a wondrous thing.
