  • I think it would be better to let someone from the Americas take over. Especially as Arabia is a neighbour from Russia.
    (no offense Russia ! )

If no permanent sub can be found, I would be prepared to play a limited number of turns..

Furthermore, recently the Amazon pittboss went into limbo, maybe someone from there would like to take over..

      • I am OK with someone else taking control over Arabia, in any other case, but Arabia is loyal ally to Russia and were backing us with whatever it was needed for the past good that we made to them and the great trust and friendship we built. Now, when we are at war from so many years, and we have been making plans and have agreements with the knowledge that Arabs will be there to fulfill them when Russia need them. If someone (say someone from the Axis or someone even neutral) takes control of Arabia now, it will be absolutely game-changing. Imagine that someone takes over the Vikings and decides he dont like the Neandors? Then what? Or if the Neandor player disappears and the sub decides he dont likes the French any more, stop supplying them with advanced troops and upgrading for them, or simply signs open borders with Russia? Then what? This is absolutely wrong and I dont think it must be allowed.

If I have to prove the agreements we have with Arabia, and the old ties we have and their firm determination to stand behind Russia and their feelings about the Axis, I will publish parts of messages and official diplomatic agreements we have with the Arabs.

In the sake of the sportsmanship, I can promise that Arabia will not declare war at anyone while I am subbing for them and will start searching for replacement for them, or will accept replacement found randomly - i.e. no connection with any member of the Axis. If someone will ask how I can be sure the replacement will be not biased towards the Axis, well, I cant, but I do believe that we are all honorable players who play this game and will take it for granted.

              Hahah, good call France

I believe the Arabian player will come back eventually, as he did not said anything about leaving, so I repeat my request to sub for them.

The Azteca may not know how fragmented and bi-polarized the nations involved with the World War 1 are and how much they depend on each- other, and thats why sees Russia subbing temporary for Arabia as a strange idea, but I repeat my request that I sub for them until appropriate replacement is found if the player did not come back soon.

              • Russia does seem like a logical sub considering the delicate nature of this endless war.

                • What exactly is the name of the most current conflict anyway?

Complete lack of naming of wars going on, and it disappoints my Incan sensibilities...

                  • As I proposed a name first already, I think I deserve the patent.

Well, it is not very original, but it is very well informative and self-explanatory.

                    • World War I... isn't it sort of over and now just a regional war? I haven't noticed any real action outside of North Africa/England in 100 years...

I think WWI works for the opening phases, but it's basically a new war now that half the combatants have rested their guns on half the continents.

                      • @OzzyKP: according to rule 5b it is not allowed to let Russia sub.

Regarding the name of the war, what about "The Shoah" ?

                        • The war isn't only occurring in Africa...

                          I can sub, as always.

                              • Damn bots.

We in France see it more from a time perspective - we have been at war for a long time - sort of like the historical 100 Years War between France and England (actually 113 years I think). Hence, my suggestion of the Millenium War. Or better yet - War of the Ages.
