Two questions Arabia.

When you open civ, and "go advanced" and then "about this build" does it say civ version 319 and two lines down build version 3.1.9.0?

Secondly, when you hit "go advanced" and then "load a mod", does Destiny of Empires show up as an option - probably between "Defense" and "diplomacy"?

Actually, I had that issue recently when I tried to run the game on my work-issued laptop. I never could get the game to run. I figured it had something to do with the fact that I wasn't the administrator for the computer and that it was set not to allow me to run a game from online, but that was purely a guess.

I just want to clarify that I'm subbing India only to try to keep it alive untill a proper perm. sub is found. So I will not post stories, vote, diplo etc.. (well I have still tried but that got ignored by Arabia..they said 4 sentences are not enough for an answer but I won't do more..)
I'm suggesting here to at least make a thread for 'looking for replacement', because I just don't see how you will get a player without actively looking for one.

From what I read, it would be best to uninstall Civ, then go to your folder where it was, and delete anything there that remains. Also go to my documents folder, delete anything related to civ there as well. Then run the install/setup as administrator, follow the correct sequence (first civ, then bts, then the patches one after the other, and then put the mod file in the correct folder). It says in many of these threads that this either happens when something goes wrong with patching, or if something has changed in the xml, or if something went wrong with putting things in mod folders.

You can't take any notice of the names in PYT. They rarely refresh so are out of date. E.g. 'grunzen old' hasn't been used for many turns but it still shows in PYT.
