Korea and Greece are not played by the original player anymore. Korea is now played (both story and mechanical) by the player did already play Korea mechanical (and Greece).

Ozzy has been asked to sub for Greece.

Is so easy saying game is over in 1 week i think it is not true. Indians can no way win culture as no time left for the last city to be ledgendry. India win domination only with kill of mali on continent and vassel plus vassel inca egypt plus maybe persians. i think space race has not begun and english lead score.

Game will last more than 1 week if english fight and byzantine are still big. Only korea is murdered as persia does not lose land. Natives get very large as well.

I think it is just silly thing to give up when a game is still fun. Even if spce race starts espianage still can harm things.

The game has been paused so we have some time to figure this problem out.

First of all: let's all stay calm, after all it's only a game. (eventhough *some* players spend more time on playing their turn then on having breakfast )

We now have to figure out if the Byzantine attack on England is legal treacherous backstabbing or illegal ooc action. If it's the first, we need to take a deep breath, count to 10, perhaps some cold turkey time, and then move on, if it's the latter we must first confirm it and then find a way to continue.

First a question to both:
@Byzantium: *if* we find out that there's some illegal ooc-action, are you then willing to undo the wrong?
@England: *if* we find out that it's 'only' legal treacherous backstabbing, are you then willing to continue playing?

I'm going to remove all these comments (won't delete them but store them elsewhere) while we try to find a solution behind the scenes.

It's also against the rules to argue when I'm sick and sleeping so that I can't intervene you're all guilty for that

Oh, and for the record: of course we'll finish this game.
We're close till the end and we're not going to be stop it b/c of an incident.

Arabia and Ottomans were also able to continue playing. It would not be fair towards them if we stop now because it involved bigger powers.
We only have to decide on HOW we will continue.

Anyway, I have just sent a draft of conclusions to England and I'm waiting for his response (in private). All just calm down, it's only a game (yeah, sure!). And it's been a wonderful game so far. If we can't finish this one properly (!) then we can never finish one.

This is why we need to play succession, so people don't have a 6 month attachment to a civ. Things always blow up OOC because people have OOC attachments to their civs that go beyond just enjoying a game. If people swapped civs then they'd have an attachment to the *game* not their civ. That'd make it more enjoyable for everyone.

That was part of the reasoning behind going anonymous, but anon doesn't really work. All the main people get figured out in the first month or two of the game anyhow.

Attachments come with pain and with joy, for me the joy (fun) outweights the incidental pain by far.
I'm attached to my wife, should I stay away from her because one day I may mourn her because I lost her?
