Anyway: next time leave a note that says: "don't wait for me"
I always wait for a player during wartime to avoid big problems. If you don't leave a specific note then I will wait.

    So please be specific.
    Thanks for your nice attitude!
Ottoman lists local time of EDT, US. US has been on Daylight Saving since Sunday. That means that the East coast is currently -4 GMT, and only -5 CET, since Europe hasn't gone on Summer Time, yet. Maybe that affected calculations.
I play Europa Universalis II; I dabble in everything else.

    • Ottomans,

I don't mean to offend, but I assume you know how to unpause but couldn't because you had a diplo message.

      • Well, it said '5 hours from now' so I just added 5 hours to the time you placed that post
Anyway, better safe then sorry here. I'm glad that the problem was that we waited too long, that's better then not waiting too long at all!

A very clever use of the technicalities of the 'at peace' / 'declaring war' mechanics, Mr India. Creating a situation where you are at peace with Byzantium for half the turn, so can exterminate the Inca without Byzantine forces being able to defend them (if we had been able to you would have been toast), but at war with Byzantium for the other half, so you can destroy defenceless expelled shipping. Clever, sneaky and perfectly legal you *******!

            Wow, that is genius indeed.

            Bravo India!

Yes, as sneaky as using a neutral party to ignore my 10 warships, 10+ aircraft shore defense
I should have declared war to avoid your "double move" (not in wartime sense) and you should have declared war on me to avoid expelling your fleet from the Incan city
I think we learn from this

              • How many units did you lose, Byz?

                • Exactly.

The Incans and my fleet were perfectly well enough protected against you declaring war on me/both of us, but just as you didn't earlier, I also didn't see the need to declare war on you as a precaution not having thought of this very clever "staged declarations of war in teh same turn tactic".

Units - well that would involve telling whether the transports were loaded or not, and I am not going to reveal that! There were 7 ships involved - not a great count - though if loaded that is 28 units!

                  • Good move from India for sure!
Lesson learned: don't give the initiative for war to the other! (both India and Byzantine learned that lessen) (and so did I now )

[action=Persia (DoC)]declares war on all civs, just to be sure[/action]

                    • Now you can understand why those "hypotetical" questions were important to me. I wanted to declare war on Inca and Byzantium so i can move before them. While at first sight it seems there is nothing wrong with that, in the end unfortunately i have to agree with Byzantium that there could be complications, and so it should not be allowed... this led to that i slightly altered my programs for today..

EDIT: Orb, today when you logged in while I was in the game, Civ said: "The player connecting does not have the same game files. Please make sure that this is a trusted player", or something like that. I tried to tell you that with the in-game chat, but you didn't respond, so I think you didn't see it. I called you a 'darn cheater' as well for laughs
