Religion is a part of the game. And it's a part of the diplomacy.
Fleshing it out makes sense.
I deliberately made both religions branches of the same and included major figures in the religions. (the 2x6 deamons) to give every civ a way to go with my religion, and yes, Russia, go ahead and make your own branch of Hastogianism. I'd say, feel even free to use Hairy Hastogianism for that. Bottom line is that all Hastogianists should worship Hastog in one or another way. Like Shiites and Soenies worship Allah, but sometimes kick the crap out of each other (but are still regarded as one huge group).
And every civ is free to include the deamon I assigned to them into their stories in whatever way they want. (as long as they remain deamons of Hastog)
I like it how both Britannia and Russia continued the story, and even brought me in a difficult position, regarding the sacrifices. (and I especially loved it that Britannia said they agreed with Russia, and then continued saying something 100 opposite )
Oh well, ramble ramble, we're all having fun here
And everybody may know that it's not a secret that Persia's goal is to spread Hastogianism to all places of the world and make all civs adopt any form of Hastogianism. So in the end I'm having an in-game goal, cloathed in stupid story posts about hairy guys falling out of heaven.Force is always beside the point when subtlety will serve

There's no resistance if there's nothing!
Your resistance is there only because you fear something!
The fact that you fear Hastogianism is good enough!
No other religion on earth is feared except Hastogianism
Hastog feeds upon your fear.
More fear is more power.
You will all fall to the fat one! Fear it!
Open your eyes and look forward, you'll most probably be watching Hastog in the eyes! Fear him! He's your destiny!Force is always beside the point when subtlety will serve

Fear is the source for disgust. No disgust without fear.
You disgust what you fear. There's of course a difference between fearing the sword or fearing the tasteless, but either by the sword or by the smell, Hastogianism will cover your lands!Force is always beside the point when subtlety will serve

Fear is the basic emotion of Hastogianism, you didn't know that yet?
That book-religion your comic is about has more similarities with your religion, Islam. (apart from the fact that we don't know anything about Islam, perhaps Islam is just another branch of Hastogianism, which would once again reflect very well on real-Islam, which is as well just another way to look at the christian/judaistic god (though some Muslims/Christians/Jews would disagree with me there)
Anyway, comparing Hastog with the 'blessed one' from your comic shows your lack of knowledge about Hastog. I'll send some doomionaries your way soon to teach you.
Anyway, your continuing portrayal of fear towards Hastogianism, Rome, shows me that Hastogianism most probably did already spread into your lands.
Fear more and Hastogianism will grow and spread among the Romans.Force is always beside the point when subtlety will serve

I like the stories about Hastog. Yeah, the theme not so serious but the threat is. It's a good way to write up stories , doing something "mad" in the name of a mad God.
I'm also playing a heavily religion driven civ, I have planed this before we started and it's good to see that other civs also took religion seriously and already forming alliances based on it (MAD, Hastogianists, the Christians and the Taoists). Alliances lead to big wars -eventually - so more interesting stories.

Great postings for the org thread!
But i agree - Russians stuff is anything but crap - and diplo is at its best when different nations stories interweave. One nation spinning huge stories just about themselves doesn't do a lot for me, though i recognise the creativity.
As for the Fat Pig - I am sure the skewering will be fun. As long as we all note very carefully the threat of a religious victory. The Fat Pig might say that he is going to conquer everyone, but don't be deceived he is actually a diseased runt whose only hope is sneeking in unnoticed into every nation, and polluting the whole planet.Βασιλεύς Βασιλέων Βασιλεύων Βασιλευόντων
