  • ENOUGH!

To all peoples of the world, we are the Wyandot.

We have never been aggressive. We are farmers by nature and have always helped out our neighbors.

HOWEVER, the current situation is really getting out of control...and the Wyandot Nation is finding themselves as the "pass-thru" section between the two (or more) warring parties. ENOUGH!

The Wyandot will NOT be used as a TOOL by either side.

If nothing can be agreed upon to solve this current crisis, then the Wyandot Nation, being neutral in this crisis - will have no choice but to CLOSE BORDERS with EVERYONE- and then go back and figure out who are our friends and who are just using our nation.

Chief Tarhe of the Wyandot Nation

      • Statement of Support

TO: Great Chief Tarhe of the Wyandot Nation
FROM: Sejong of Goguryeo, Emperor of Korea

        Brave Tarhe,

We would like to publicly back your wise words, and still consider you to be allies as per our former agreement. An agreement spat upon by our friends the Japanese and Oldonians. It is a pleasure to see that reason and self-control has survived somewhere in this world.

Just as Korea acted on behalf of its national interest, it is in the national interest to keep the Wyandot lands safe from BECOMING A BATTLEFIELD of foreign states. We suffered the political price for our independence, and we hope that the same does not befall the Wyandot people.

If you experience the same treatment Korea has for staunchly maintaining its INDEPENDENCE and neutrality, we are with you always as TRUE ALLIES. As men of our word. At this point a band of warriors commanded by General Jumong, Colonel Bak Moon and Captain Harald Sigurdsson of Oldonia are about to enter your lands. We ask for them free passage, and a meeting with your majesty the Great Chief Tarhe. We also ask that you provide ambassadors to accompany them throughout your lands and beyond to the great city of Pierced Hill to speak with the Piercians. In the interest of peace, and prosperity of this world let it be so Great Chief!

And as always, thank you for your valuable time,

-General Shin Sung, Imperial Commander of Korea

          • To : The Senate of Rome

            Greetings Senators,

I knew you would not disappoint my trust in roman reason. There is no point in fighting eachother. Let's deal with the current situation like civilized people.

I can see your intentions are good. Now I would like to ask how far they reach. Will you return their city to my vassals, the russian merchands ? I can offer to consider the remaining debts of Rome towards the Piercian Empire to be void if you will. I offer to do my best to restore peaceful dialogue between Rome and Greece as well.

As I mentionned in my announcement to all known rulers of the world, with you accepting this, borders between our lands can be opened again.

I hope my Empire can be the soil on which the talking resumes between the East and the West, instead of becoming the one on which battles are fought. Only if both sides can accept this wish, I will consider myself successful.

Emperor Aun'O Asiz Asizia of the Piercian Empire

              • To : Big Kev' of Oldonia

I Hail you Big Kev', slayer of the muslim,

I understand that a man like you had to deal with many violence in his own country, which is regretable. My Empire isn't very stable on the religious plan either, and I know what you must have been going through in the past months.

I have been told that you interpreted our gesture of protection towards the russian people as an enslavement. I have proof that Russia came to seek my help and freely offered vassalage. Ressource exchanges have already been arranged, and the russians will recieve piercian goods very soon. In fact, throughout history, the Piercian Empire always rejected slavery. Not once has it been practiced by any Piercian.

You might also take into consideration that the russians can put an end to the oath they pledged since it wasn't done out of capitulation.

Feel free to criticize my way of assisting Russia, but keep in mind that accepting this involves heavy costs for my Empire. A greater part of their administration will be financed by Piercian founds (OOC: city upkeep costs are partially transferred to a vassal's master, just in case you didn't know that), which will allow their economy to catch a breath after the loss of their infrastructure in the disputed city.

Your own country can't afford to maintain large armies far away from your homelands. You have shown yourself as an honorable warrior, standing for the weak. Don't let your honor be tainted by a bloodthirst that would cost oldonian lives and money. Heal your country from the scars of civil war and be a great King. There still is much you can do for the oldonian civilization.

                • We will consider your words.

{ooc} meaning i want to see sometihng done by the larger cics the ones in the top 6 to make this game far more interesting for the lower 12 civs other than big civs fighitng small civs.

At present the game seems to resolve onyl around that, if it continues to be this way then diplomacy is pointless.

The Wyandots have to concur with this view as well.

                    • Onto ALL Nations

The Wyandot Nation WILL take a stance.

If foreign forces are seen in our lands that are more than 2 units in number, we WILL close borders with the nation in question (no matter who that nation is). PERIOD.

The Wyandot people will not abide forces moving through our lands only to fuel war and unrest.

                          • To the The Scribes of Sparta.

It has come to my attention that our former great leader, Ganesh, did trade to you Civil Service in return for a future benefit.

My reading of his note leads me to remind you that I, Suryavarman 1 of the Khmer, expect a tech of our choosing at any time in the future.

Civil Service made a huge difference to Sparta's growth and development and we congratulate you on your achievements.

Also, in the future please keep an eye out for our internastional releases that may contain information that even the Spartans can understand now that we speak the international tongue

                            great tidings of old,

                            Suryavarman 1

                            • To all Nations

Have you all seen my plee on behalf of smaller nations who have requested that the University of Sankore NOT be built by a top nation.

Khmer can build it very quick and are half way through but have switched production in the hope that the top nations will also NOT produce Sankore.

If we get no commitments soon posted here, we will build it.

                              thankyou and tidings,

                              Suryavarman 1

                              • It may also help in making your decision to understand that Khmer will consider not trading with a top nation that does build Sankore.
