The army advanced into the great woods, old stories of the fierce lions were well entrenched in hteir heads.

but no sign was seen of any lions nor any other living thing.

The army moved further into the woods gaining confidence that there was nothing to fear at all. Orders from the city came through that they should head north and circle the city, till recruitment was finished , the army was to patrol the city outskirts for the next few centuries.

          The Korean / Mayan Incident

For many days and nights the Mayan scouting party transversed the vast jungle surrounding the city of Tikal. To the south, they found a large mountain range with particualrly shiny yellow rocks.

Further south they found people from another large tribe, they called themselfs "Coreans". They had lighter skin and slanty eyes. The scouting party was confused about this new tribe, and was not sure how to proceed.

The Coreans tried expaining to the explorers that some of the land around their main city was "theirs", and that the Mayan were not welcome in it. This message was misunderstood by the Mayans.

The Mayan warrior scouts approched the large Corean city, and were abruptly attacked. The Coreans were not as skilled as the Mayan at warfare however, and attacked across a river. The Mayan warriors took advantage of this, and slaughtered them in the cool swift running waters.

The Corean capital now stood undefended. The Mayans, although a warlike people, had a basic sense of honor. The entered the city, and awaited the reaction of the Corean leader(s).

The Mayans waited for the Corean leadership to address them, but it never occured. The most they could get out of any of the elders was a "Er, hmmm".

More confused then ever, the Mayans left the city. On their way out they spotted some lovely farmgirls who were overwhelmed with the beauty and strength of the Mayan warriors.

Although they really didn't want to be slowed down on their way back to Tikal, the Mayans let these Coreans tag along knowing full well they would be turned into slaves upon arival.

              Food!

Looking for a way to feed the growing number of Piercians, the chamans prayed the spirits of the earth and the sea. And the tides answered their call, by bringing them small creatures, easy to gather among the shores of Pierced Hill. They held a delicious and rich flesh inside their shield-like body, and sometimes, even a small spheric jewel, witnessing the love the spirits felt for their chosen tribe.

It was dark that night. the night that hisotry was made . The warriers moslty slept but a few guards were left in palce. The forrest was quiet.

Then out of nowhere the lions appeared. The guards raised the alarm, but not in time to save them selves.

Over two thirds of the warriers were killed. This was a dangerous forrest.

Even climbing the trees and being on the hill did not avail much.

But in the morning the few survivors did bury the dead and decided they should go back to the city to report.

Bloodied and battered the remaining warriers cut a path through the forrest.
Decades passed and the warriers were still marching home.

Back in the village , the new leader heasrd the news as itarrived via carrier pigeon. He made a decision, more armies were needed to face this big world.

He stood before the people of Oldonia and gave a speech

"My fellow Oldonians, we are the ancestors of the Olde Family, who settled here at the base of the Great Mountain, fringed by the Great Forrest. We have sent our sons and daughters out into the wild, the darkness that surrounds our village many times over the centuries. The history records show the brave deeds of our ancestors, the story of John Williams and his sons. Their historic discovery of the Dark Forrest to our north, the finding of the Great Lake. Their ultimate sacrifice paid to our small and humble tribe when they disappeared from trace. Our ancestors then swore that all Lions are the enemy of this state. We would not rest till they were al lextinct. We began our purge of this vile creation with the blessings of the Great One. Word has arrived that our glorious warriors did meet in battle this creature on the outskirts of our territories witihn the Great Forrest. They did fight bravely and did defeat these beasts. I have ordered there return to our humble village, upon their return we shall hold a feast such as has never been held before. We shall honour our fallen sons and daughters, we shall learn from their adventures and again go to war with these beasts from the abyss. We shall fight them in the mountains, we shal lfight them in the forrests, we shall fight them in the fields and plains, we shall never surrender to these beasts of hell."

It was a new age. Nobunaga shogun of Japan fearing that one day someone who was unfit to rule would try to take his throne decides to create a council that would control Japan in the shadows. He chose 5 of the strongest and wisest from all 5 ninja villages. All of the wore black robs with the symbol of their village imprinted on the back. The only one who didn’t wear a robe was Nobunaga. He proclaimed himself leader and named the group “The Council of Shadows”. This group worked to govern Japan and deciding the laws of which the empire would fallow. The Shadow sent out ninja throughout the world to see who was out there and who would be a threat to Japan. The mission was very simple find other civs but do not let them find you. While this time of shadow exploration was according Nobunaga’s wife gave birth. Nobunaga’s son was named Kenshin after Sonya’s father. Nobunaga now with a child of his own decided it was time to create a new city and so it was that a settler group was sent to find a new place to create.

                    • Little Sam Hardy was sitting on the roof of his little chatel, speculating the position of the sun and the shadows it caused. It was whilst deeply thinking that he heard the first noises from afar. He turned his head and in the distance he saw the sight of men. They were a proud group of men he could tell. He watched them advance on the village then realised these were Oldonian warriers.

He hurreid down from his spot and yelled to all and sundry

"The warriers are here. The warriers are here"

                      • The Long Journey

The Stinca People were blessed by the Sun God. Their first born son was given the gift of jungle warfare and a fierce weapon more powerful than anything else in the world. He was named after the fierce jungle cat, the Jaguar.

Following his maturation and training he was sent by the Stinca elders to explore the world. "Go down yander, young Jaguar learn, and report back to us the nature of the world."

For years the young Jaguar traveled and learned much. He encountered long haired golden cats who thought they were "King of the Jungle". These cats attacked the Jaguar at every opportunity but the young Jaguar easily vanquished them using the weapon from the gods.

Along his route he discovered many wonderous things. Huge animals with white spears projected from their heads, hills with shiny white and yellow metal nuggets, hoofed animals as swift as the wind, and strange plants that stimulated his mind with their exotic aroma.

And then, the encounter. A strange people in a far away land. As he stood at the border the strange people were in awe of his god-given strength. They chanted to him and praised his muscular form. "We are a peaceful nation". "Do not exersise aggression here". "In future generations our two peoples will live in peace and engage in prosperous cooperation."

The young Jaguar knew he could vanquish these people; but thought the better of it. He thought that the elders would be pleased by prospects of sharing gifts and thoughts with these tanned people. He bid "farewell' and set off for home wondering how his kin had fashioned his home city.

                        • The Homeland

The Stinca people awaited the return of the young Jaguar with news of the world.

During this time they discovered a grain crop growing wild in the lowlands next to the city. They cultivated this crop and greatly enjoyed the sweet flavor of the small white grains. They observed shiney animals of the sea frollicing in the waves. The elders commanded that a boat should be built to be used to harvest these creatures. On a nearby hill they discovered small fluffy-furred animals grazing peacefully.

The chief elder reflected upon the wonders around his people. "We are truly blessed by the gods." Our lands are abundant in food and our people shall not want".

My lord they are patrolling our borders, we have heard that a band of foreign warriors is heading our way and want to talk to you.

                            What are their intentions?

We do not know Lord. Intel suggests that they are armed with clubs.

Hmmm this doesn’t seem to be good they want to talk but bring weapons of war with them!! Gather the strongest men in town and send them with my cousin to meet those foreigners.

                            My orders are:

Be friendly and greet them openly, BUT BUT if you sense the slightest aggression chop them down ASAP and throw their bodies in the Great Lake!

                            • The government of Corea has made contact with another nation living among the lions of the Northern Jungles: the Greeks. Their pledge of enduring peace and mutual prosperity was much heartening to the Corean people, especially after having to endure the mysterious disappearance of an entire war-band from the capital and a gang of workers from a field north of Seoul.

Our sages now believe that the warriors committed suicide by jumping into the Han River en masse, but the fate of the workers is still unknown. All members of the Great Han People's Nation anxiously await their safe return.

                              • Nobunaga and his son had just finished a long day of training. Even now at the age of 6 Kenshin’s skills are starting to surpass even his father. As the two approached the garden one of the sand ninja came to Lord Oda and told him of what the scouts had seen. He told Nobunaga about the continent to the east of Japan. He told Oda that his unit saw the borders of at least 4 other civs. The ninja then spoke of a war between two of the civs that didn’t last long. Nobunaga as the ninja if he was sure no one had seen him and the ninja said yes. Nobunaga was uneasy at the though of there being more civs out there who might be just as powerful or even half as powerful as Japan. Oda then told the ninja to tell all the others on that continent to return to Japan. The ninja did as he was ordered and left. Oda still curious though called upon the services of the leaf village’s elite tracker units the ANBU black ops to send out a team to keep an eye on what the other civs were doing. Confused, Kenshin asks why his father doesn’t just meet with them instead of hiding in the shadows? Oda then tells him a story.

Once there was a scorpion that wanted to get across a river. Along can a fox and the scorpion asked him, “Please fox will you carry me on your back across the river?” The fox replied, “No if I do that you will sting me and I will drown.” The scorpion then said, “If I did that I would drown too.” The fox thought about it for a minute and then told the scorpion to get on his back. So the scorpion did and the fox began to swim across. Half way across the river the scorpion stung the fox. The fox then said to the scorpion, “why did you do that now we will both die”, and the scorpion replied, “ I did it because it is in my nature to do so.”

Nobunaga then told his son, “ See son you can never be too careful about who you decide to make friends with because one day even your closest friend will turn his back on you because it is in man’s nature to do so.”
