  • The workers toil year after year trying to find ore amidst the grape vines, but so far nothing. The rock that is being removed has strengthened the city.

We have finally discovered a use for the yellow grass growing on our western borders. Our people grow hungry, so we must gather the yellow grass to feed them.

A lost warior with a large club has been wandering to the southeast of the Celtic borders. He has yet to make any attempts at communication. Should he continue to stalk the borders, our warriors may have to go out and greet him.

    • The sky is black and rain is falling. A single ninja, known to many as the copy ninja, hid waiting for his target to appear. His eye focused on the task at hand ready waiting to deliver one swift move. In the distance a ship approaches the shore, a boy walked out of the ship and turns his back to the ninja. The ninja sees this and strikes. The boy falls to his knees and a puff of white smoke fills the air. The ninja was shocked to see that the man knew the substitution technique used by ninja. Quick as a flash the boy got behind the unsuspecting ninja and sliced off the ninja’s head with a special weapon given to him by his father. The boy then picked up the severed head and began to remove the left eye of the ninja. Once the boy was done he removed his own left eye and replaced it with the one he took from the ninja. The boy was pleased for the eye he now possesses has the ability to predict the moves of his opponents before they even made them. Now the boy was ready to do what needed to be done.

      • Recruits

A warrior reported to Asiz, presenting him a new invention : a lethal weapon that could be made out of wood and vegetal fibers. It was a long stick on which a string of fibers was fixed. This string could be pulled back in order to get an impulsion on release that would propulse a smaller and thinner stick. This stick could have a sharp object on it's end, so that it may penetrate deeper into the target.

After introducing the man to Iris, mentionning his brilliant invention. He thought about what to do with it. Almost every piercian man was already a warrior, trained in close combat. The Empress made him notice, that most of the women are not doing much more then eating and giving birth to their childs. He gave it a thought... and so it was decided to build a special place in the city, where warriors could exercice, and women could be trained at the usage of this weapon.

If Piercia wanted to be a great empire one day, it had to survive without problems in the wilderness. The so-called "archeresses" would be a great step in the direction of complete homeland security. Once this project would be done, nothing would be able to stop the growth of the Great Piercian Empire.

          • Meto’s cousin finally met with the town’s recruits that early cold morning.

            Cousin:

Too few have come; hmmm we do not know what we will be dealing with in the south. I fear my friends; I fear that we are heading into the unknown.

            One of the recruits:

Sir, we are not scared. I and my brothers are ready to head south and meet those foreign warriors. We have spent the better part of the night preparing ourselves and our clubs. Before coming here we went into the forest near by and practiced our swing and aim on the wolves and bears there. I can reassure you cousin of Meto if it comes down to who can swing the hardest, we are ready!

            Cousin:

            Very well boys! Follow me!

10 mins later just outside the city walls:

Wait, wait; my name is Doche and Lord Meto has sent me to join you. His orders are for me to join and make sure that things do not get out of control when we meet these warriors. I am to represent our tribe. This first encounter needs to go smooth, we are not still sure of their intensions, thus Meto’s orders are for me to head the talks.

            Cousin:

All righty, join up the ranks!

              • It was a cold winter morning when one of the Oda clan’s brightest military instructors came to Nobunaga and showed him what he had done with a few of Oda army’s weaker fighters. The instructor taught them to use a weapon call Yumi. It gave them the ability to pick off enemy units from a long distance, which was great for softening enemy defenses or defending the city. Nobunaga was pleased with the instructor and told him to continue his work and train more of these units.

Well after many years of toil the faithful citizens of America have been terribly disappointed. In mid lift another civilization of unknown origins was reported to have built Stonehenge.

All our workers took their back pay and some broke into the King's treasury that was swelled with unspent coins and went back to drinking and debauchery with wicked Wendy. They can't be driven from their beds.

A group of citizens are now getting together to leave and strike out on their own. Much upheavel is found in the hovel.

                      Stonehenge

Since the begining of time, the Mayan people were facinated with heavenly bodys, time, and math. Knowing fully well that all three were somehow interconnected, a monument greater then had every been built was erected to aid in the calculations.

Stonehenge served a duel porpose however. Along with calculating months, seasons, and years, it was viewed by the Mayans as a physical portal to the afterlife.

Stonehenge became the Mayan civilizations graveyard, and still is to this day. Due to Stonehenge's location several miles north of Tikal, the Mayan capital gained the nickname "City of the Dead".

                        • The troops of the first Warrior Div Raz 1 headed north to see the dark forrest, in the distance they saw a creature, these were very unlike the lions of old. They were darker and larger. The leaders stalked them and considered attacking but after much consultation decided chances of defeating them were less than 25% so they decided to let them own th edark forrest and the warrors headed back to the village to report.

Meanwhile, Hardys boys were spending a relaxing summers day swimming on the shores of the western sea. Orders arrived from the city that they should rest and relax before heading south to see how large the great forrest was.

                          • Izanagi lamented the death of Izanami and undertook a journey to Yomi or "the shadowy land of the dead." Izanagi found little difference between Yomi and the land above, except for the eternal darkness. However, this suffocating darkness was enough to make him ache for the light and life above. Quickly, he searched for Izanami and found her. At first, Izanagi could not see her at all for the shadows hid her appearance well. Nevertheless, he asked her to return with him. Izanami spat out at him, informing Izanagi that he was too late. She had already eaten the food of the underworld and was now one with the land of the dead. She could no longer return to the surface with the living.

Izanagi was shocked at this news but he refused to give in to her wishes of being left to the dark embrace of Yomi. Izanami agreed to go back to the world above but first requested to have some time to rest and instructed Izanagi not to come into her bedroom. After a long wait, Izanami did not come out of her bedroom and Izanagi was worried. While Izanami was sleeping, he took the comb that bound his long hair and set it alight as a torch. Under the sudden burst of light, he saw the horrid form of the once beautiful and graceful Izanami. She was now a rotting form of flesh with maggots and foul creatures running over her ravaged body.

Crying out loud, Izanagi could no longer control his fear and started to run, intending to return to the living and abandon his death-ridden wife. Izanami woke up shrieking and indignant and chased after him. Wild shikome or foul women also hunted for the frightened Izanagi, instructed by Izanami to bring him back.

Izanagi, thinking quickly, hurled down his headdress which became a bunch of black grapes. The shikome fell on these but continued pursuit. Next, Izanagi threw down his comb which became a clump of bamboo shoots. Now it was Yomi's creatures that began to give chase, but Izanagi urinated against a tree, creating a great river that increased his lead. Unfortunately, they still pursued Izanagi, forcing him to hurl peaches at them. He knew this would not delay them for long, but he was nearly free, for the boundary of Yomi was now close at hand.

Izanagi burst out of the entrance and quickly pushed a boulder in the mouth of the cavern that was the entrance of Yomi. Izanami screamed from behind this impenetrable barricade and told Izanagi that if he left her she would destroy 1,000 living people every day. He furiously replied he would give life to 1,500.

And so began the existence of Death, caused by the hands of the proud Izanami, the abandoned wife of Izanagi.

                            • The Stonecutter
Once upon a time there lived a stonecutter, who went every day to a great rock in the side of a big mountain and cut out slabs for gravestones or for houses. He understood very well the kinds of stones wanted for the different purposes, and as he was a careful workman he had plenty of customers. For a long time he was quite happy and contented, and asked for nothing better than what he had.
Now in the mountain dwelt a spirit which now and then appeared to men, and helped them in many ways to become rich and prosperous. The stonecutter, however, had never seen this spirit, and only shook his head, with an unbelieving air, when anyone spoke of it. But a time was coming when he learned to change his opinion.

One day the stonecutter carried a gravestone to the house of a rich man, and saw there all sorts of beautiful things, of which he had never even dreamed. Suddenly his daily work seemed to grow harder and heavier, and he said to himself: "Oh, if only I were a rich man, and could sleep in a bed with silken curtains and golden tassels, how happy I should be!"

And a voice answered him: "Your wish is heard; a rich man you shall be!"

At the sound of the voice the stonecutter looked around, but could see nobody. He thought it was all his fancy, and picked up his tools and went home, for he did not feel inclined to do any more work that day. But when he reached the little house where he lived, he stood still with amazement, for instead of his wooden hut was a stately palace filled with splendid furniture, and most splendid of all was the bed, in every respect like the one he had envied. He was nearly beside himself with joy, and in his new life the old one was soon forgotten.

It was now the beginning of summer, and each day the sun blazed more fiercely. One morning the heat was so great that the stonecutter could scarcely breathe, and he determined he would stop at home till the evening. He was rather dull, for he had never learned how to amuse himself, and was peeping through the closed blinds to see what was going on in the street, when a little carriage passed by, drawn by servants dressed in blue and silver. In the carriage sat a prince, and over his head a golden umbrella was held, to protect him from the sun's rays.

"Oh, if I were only a prince!" said the stonecutter to himself, as the carriage vanished around the corner. "Oh, if I were only a prince, and could go in such a carriage and have a golden umbrella held over me, how happy I should be!"

And a prince he was. Before his carriage rode one company of men and another behind it; servants dressed in scarlet and gold bore him along, the coveted umbrella was held over his head, everything his heart could desire was his. But yet it was not enough. He looked around still for something to wish for, and when he saw that in spite of the water he poured on the grass the rays of the sun scorched it, and that in spite of the umbrella held over his head each day his face grew browner and browner, he cried in his anger: "The sun is mightier than I; oh, if I were only the sun!"

And the mountain spirit answered: "Your wish is heard; the sun you shall be."

And the sun he was, and felt himself proud in his power. He shot his beams above and below, on earth and in heaven; he burnt up the grass in the fields and scorched the faces of princes as well as of poorer folk. but in a short time he began to grow tired of his might, for there seemed nothing left for him to do. Discontent once more filled his soul, and when a cloud covered his face, and hid the earth from him, he cried in his anger: "Does the cloud hold captive my rays, and is it mightier than I? Oh, that I were a cloud, and mightier than any!"

And the mountain spirit answered: "Your wish is heard; a cloud you shall be!"

And a cloud he was, and lay between the sun and the earth. He caught the sun's beams and held them, and to his joy the earth grew green again and flowers blossomed. But that was not enough for him, and for days and week he poured forth rain till the rivers overflowed their banks, and the crops of rice stood in water. Towns and villages were destroyed by the power of the rain, only the great rock on the mountainside remained unmoved. The cloud was amazed at the sight, and cried in wonder: "Is the rock, then, mightier than I? Oh, if I were only the rock!"

And the mountain spirit answered; "Your wish is heard; the rock you shall be!"

And the rock he was, and gloried in his power. Proudly he stood, and neither the heat of the sun nor the force of the rain could move him. "This is better than all!" he said to himself. But one day he heard a strange noise at his feet, and when he looked down to see what it could be, he saw a stonecutter driving tools into his surface. Even while he looked a trembling feeling ran all through him, and a great block broke off and fell upon the ground. Then he cried in his wrath: "Is a mere child of earth mightier than a rock? Oh, if I were only a man!"

And the mountain spirit answered: "Your wish is heard. A man once more you shall be!"

And a man he was, and in the sweat of his brow he toiled again at his trade of stone cutting. His bed was hard and his food scanty, but he had learned to be satisfied with it, and did not long to be something or somebody else. And as he never asked for things he did not have, or desired to be greater and mightier than other people, he was happy at last, and never again heard the voice of the mountain spirit.

                              • After many years of grieving at the loss of their explorers, the Grand Council of the Celtic lands has decided it is time to explore once more. Heading off to the southeast, the explorers quickly came upon a coastline and have begun following it to the southeast. The warriors which patrolled the borders of the celtic lands have moved on. It appears the explorers followed these warriors for several years, but cannot seem to communicate with them as they continue to march on.
