Lord Vixur the borders have been closed, all Russians have been send back to their homeland. Security has been increased in our border towns. Our advance scouts are on full alert.

    Vixur

    Where is my army?

    Advisor

The main army is in the west, most of it is protecting the new trading settlement in the Desert of Illusions.

    Vixur

What settlement? I haven’t authorized any new expansions while we have this Russian crisis on our hands.

    Advisor

Well my Lord, the warrior the Bear Slayer has migrated with his whole clan into the Desert.

    Vixur

I was suppose to be asked first. Where has Bear Slayer settled?

    Advisor

We are not sure; I will send my people to fetch the answer for you.

    Vixur

Do not forget my advisor; we have an understanding with the Romans about those lands. This is a very delicate matter.

    Advisor

Lord but the Romans never replied to our map.

    Vixur

It doesn’t matter; we should stand by our proposition. I fear that the Bear Slayer will have to deal with the consequences on his own. For many months now he has been hard to control. The Outpost magistrate has been keeping me updated on his rebellious behavior.

    Advisor

I also heard my Lord that the Bear Slayer has a big following; many warriors from Outpost have joined him in the Desert.

    Vixur

Listen to me, go at once and have him come to Korecom. I need to speak with him!

      • Jigong sat in the streets of Pyongyang, against muttering to himself and swilling wine. It had been years since he heard the voices he heard in the caves in Wonsan, the voices that told him to travel here to Pyongyang, and voices that drove him mad. A chicken ran by his feet and he tried to snatch it, but he was too slow. "Here chicken chicken chicken!" he said, in hopes the chicken would return.

A boy walked up to him "Stop trying to steal my chickens you old fool!" the boy said, and kicked dirt at Jigong's feet.

        ...Jigong...

"Huh?" Jigong said, looking around "Is that you Buddha?"

...what are you doing Jigong? Have you forgot your mission?...

"I don't know my mission Buddha!" Jigong said, gazing into the clouds, two girls walked by laughing at him, "I am a terrible monk, I drink wine, I eat meat. I am crazy, you have driven me to madness!"

...I have driven you nowhere Jigong, it was your feet that carried you here to Pyongyang, you are neglecting your mission...

"STOP IT!" he said clutching his head "STOP TALKING TO ME!!! I have been waiting for years to hear your voice, and now you are driving me insane!"

"I haven't said anything yet." A soldier said, standing over Jigong.

"What?" Jigong replied, looking up at the soldier, he couldn't make out his face at first "Who are you?"

"Crazy Ji! Crazy Ji!" a group of small children chanted at the old man.

"Get out of here!" the soldier said shooing away the children. "I am captain Kim Jong-seo, I was told to find you here in Pyongyang by Lama Subo."

"Subo?" Jigong said to himself, it couldn't be the same Subo, could it? "Subo from Jogye?"

"From the Jogyesa you mean? Yes, the same one. He summons you to Seoul, he was worried you may have died during the Aztec raids." the captain looked over Jigong, he was wearing dingy clothing and he looked terrible "We're going to have to dress you up if you are to be in court."

"Court?" Jigong said, as the soldier helped him up.

"Yes, you are to join Subo in service to his majesty Wang Geon, come now, I have spent too much time looking for you..."

        On the river Han...

Wang Geon and Bae Hyeongyeong were on a pleasure cruise along the Han in celebration of the new marriage announcement between Daemoke and Pacal of the Maya. Some of Wang Geon's finest concubines were along for the "ride," Wang Geon had other motives though. He wanted to bring Bae Hyeongyeong into his camp against Gang Jo and the Princess, but needed to know where his allegiences were.

"I must apologize for my actions at dinner the other night" Bae began "Its just that I don't like the legends that have surrounded my meeting with the Greeks."

"I understand Bae" Wang Geon said "I wanted everything to go perfectly. So, tell me more about what Hong Yu said."

"There wasn't more than that really, he was dying sire, he barely got out those words, what does it mean?" Bae asked.

"Well Bae, I don't believe the Princess holds me in high regard, in fact I think she hates me. Which is understandable, I had her father killed." Wang Geon explained.

"I was under the impression that it was the Maya who took Gung Ye's life, how could she blame you?"

"It was I who sent him there, I wanted to protect Korea and he was standing in the way, he was stubborn and unwilling to deal with the Maya. It had to be done at the time you see." Wang Geon answered.

"Well sir, you can't believe Gang Jo is really intent on treason against you, he is one of your oldest and most loyal friends." Bae said.

"Men do silly things when they are in love" Wang Geon said, staring at the ripples in the river "You see, I can't take Gang Jo's life lightly, I need you to help me get to the bottom of this, perhaps you can speak with him candidly."

"I don't think that would be a good idea sir, I dont' know Gang Jo very well, and we may tip them off. Besides, you wouldn't want to expedite their activity, that is if you are right, we don't have a male heir and we have already married Daemoke off to Maya. If you act now and leave no heir Pacal could claim the throne of Seoul, and the throne of Pyongyang. That would be disastrous."

Wang Geon thought to himself "Yes, you are right, I must impregnate Sinjeong as soon as possible."

"That too could be problematic, if this gets out to the public eye they could view Daemoke as a bastard child, and a child of Gang Jo, thus angering the Maya. I suggest you tread delicately here my lord, this incident could turn out horribly for all of us." Bae replied.

"Yes, so will you speak to him for me?"

"I will do what I can my lord..."

          TO: Lacedameon, King of Sparta
FROM: General Gang Jo, Imperial Commander of the Koreans

          Hail Lacedameon!

According to my scouts and informants a foreign ship of fair-haired men are travelling in our direction from your shores. I have come with a search party to find these men. We would also like to ask that our people open borders to one-another in order to foster trade and understanding among our people. We hope this will be acceptable to your liking.

Further we wish to invite you, on behalf of their majesties Supreme King Wang Geon of Goguryeo and Princess Sinjeong of Joseon, to the Mayan capital of Tikal to witness the marriage of Empress Daemoke and King Pacal II of Maya. We hope we can count on your attendence.

          Thank you for your time.

          • Sir look there. Do you see them?

Yes son i do, must be the biggest group of barbs ever.

Maybe it their homelands sir, perhaps finally we have found the reason they been so strong in this area.

Well we havent seen any citys in the area they could be further south. We know up north by the Wyandots that the blacks do make citys , some quite large ones too.

Well sir what do we do, we outnumbered at present and the new pilgrims have just set up the farms to the west of us. We cant let these damn terrorists through.

Your right son we cant and we wont, we will go down to do battle with them. We cant let the rest of Oldonia suffer either though, so i am going to split the forces. Blake is going to take his men and set up a defencive barrier near the Southern River. I will take my men and the 7th Archer brigade and set up a wall to the south of the pilgrims. Your job is to find the last of the Japanese warriors and get them to join us here to push south and blast these guys and find their home citys. I am sure the Japanese would love to be handed a nice new city.

But sir you are the leader of all of Oldonia you cant lead the battle today.

For too long the leaders have sat back in Oldonian palace giving orders. it is time for me to lead from the front.

Ride now son, find the Japanese take this note.

Aye sir i shall ride and return with the Japanese.

To: the leader of the Japanese forces in Western Razolia.
From: HRH the Prince of Oldonia, Rasputin IV

Our brothers in arms, greetings from your neighbours. Despite many years of fighting one antoher in years long gone, in recent times we have shown a willingness to fight the common enemy. It is with this in mind that i do write to you as the leader of all the United Oldonian provinces to request that you travel with myself and my army to the south, across the great land bridge connecting Western Razolia to the plains of Southen Razolia and beyond.

It is upon these plains that we have encountered some terrorists that we believe will lead us to their homelands and their ctiys. The Oldonian people do not want to spread our lands that far from home, but realise that Japanese islands are not far of the coast of this long land bridge.

So we make this offer to the Japanese and we hope it meets your favour. We will together fight these terrorists sharing the glory of their deaths, but any citys found along the bridge and south will be Japanese to do with as you wish. You may settle them or destroy them as your people so choose.

For the glory of Japan we say follow the scout bearing this note and join me on the plains. For today we start turning the tide once and for all.

            • A messenger came to Kyoto. He was and Oldonian man. He had a letter with him. He gave the letter to General Iroh who then gave it to Empress Rin. She called the man to the war room. There the man told her what the situation was. She walked towards the window and looked outside. She turned to the man and told him that currently it would take months to send anyone over. The Zanza’s Wrath, the White Lotus, and the Black Dragon are all off and would take too long to come back to transport troops over. Currently we are building another ship but it will not be done for quiet some time but the Zanza guard on the main land would be happy to help. I cannot provide much more help but maybe you can talk to Lord Kenshin Himura who is to the north prepping his new city. The man asked if they could send a messenger while he left to see Kenshin. Empress Rin gave the message to one of the Sound hunters to give to the Oldoniand leader. The man left and walk towards the north were Kenshin was.

Along the way the man walk into a barbarian stronghold. He stayed and fought but soon realized there was too many. He did the only thing he could do and ran away as fast as he could. Unfortunately he ran into a dead end. He felt it in his heart that this was the end and he was going to die. Just then a man with long read hair appeared seemingly out of nowhere. He looked at the man who was on the ground covering himself then looked up to see the barbarians who surrounded them. The man looked up at Kenshin and then looked around and saw that all the barbarians were dead. Kenshin then turned around and the man saw he was drenched in the blood of the barbarians he had just killed.

              • The battles raged all through the hills and foreests but the now experience Oldonians were too strong for the terrorists.

They pressed them back and made the path clear for the pilgrims.

The prince set up a garrison and led his men further south. Here they discovered more barbarians. They carried bloody axes and were defended by archers.

They were no match for the Oldonian army now gasthering momentum.

The prince was resting one night when he saw his young freind returning.

so the japanese are in agreement.

Yes sire. they send ing all they got.

good together we will claim this land for the new Unity of Oldonia and Japan WE shall be conquerers of all the Barb lands

This is the first message in a long time since their has been a week long day of national mourning after the death of national hero in a fight against the evil barbarous peoples that are threatening our great nation. It is the greatest respect any nation can give to a fallen hero.

I have ordered three axe battalions and one support archery division to patrol that area and keep it barbarian save.

If you agree Chief Tarhe I propose that we build a road between our two civilizations, this will speed travel time and benefit our trade greatly.

                        ....

The latest acheological diggins in the North Western region have found some interesting remnants of ancient civilisation. We have no idea who this civilisation was as none of the records of the nations in the at area today show any contact with this lost tribe.

The tribe appears to have been fairly well advanced with findings of pottery and weopons similar to those of other nations at the same era.

Records from the find show some large sort of palace existed, pictures on the walls show some large battles with Axe weilding soldeirs.

The dig team are hoping to find more evidence of who this civiliation was and what happened to them. Why did the other nations not mention this civ in any of their records? It would appear that whoever these people were they were simply cut off from the world.

Whilst the rest of the world at that time from the records found in museums and such would appear to be open and friendly, much communications back and forth, this lost tribe had none. They had no friends....

So these are facts not just rumours?

As far as we can tell , we have scouted the areas well and from what we can gather it all true/

so from this it all leads to one of two endings, either our friends are in trouble and may need our help, or they not our friends and they got plans agaisnt us

This is the conclusion we have come up with. The docuemnts we have found would indicate that is wise to strengthen the Eastern border patrols.

But that may be taken as a sig nof distrust to our friends. They may fear a build up in death valley of our troops.

It is a decision for the prince to make.

but he is down south invading the terrorists home lands . this decision needs to made now. i can send him word of what is decided , but i see that my brother is too busy. Yes tell the Barracks Commander to send extra Battalions to the East. Keep them in the hills and forrests. I hope we are wrong about this, but i have an uneasy feeling.

I am sure your brother wil lbe happy with the decision. If our friends need our help them the extra troops can be rushed to their aid quickly, if it is us that is under threat then we need to defenc that pass. Either way it is the only decision to make.

Yes you are right, i just wish i had my brothers gift of the golden tongue. He is able to negotiate with the devil himself.

Things were getting nasty the barbs were raming freely through the pass. Little was being doen to stop them from coming. The Oldonian sentrys were taking as many as thry could but they kept coming and would now try to pass around the sentry. the babrs were getting smarter and would not ttack the sentrys in the hill.
                          They simply walked around them.

                            Our good friends,

Sorry if we have been amiss as of late - the fighting against the barbarian forces is going rather well. We have "liberated" the northern barbarian city which was fueling the unrest through the Wyandot Range. The Wyandot nation is now on the patrol on the western foothills of the Wyandot Range.

If the Oldonian Empire so desires, our Wyandot forces will move over to the choke-point in order to protect both of our nation's interests - we ask this in advance since the Wyandot Nation recognizes this as sovereign Oldonian lands.
