just do what i do. only look t it once a day and just start writing long stories bout stuff to keep you mind buisy. pretend ur having a civl war or something. or pick fights with other civs just to pass the time away.

You started without any techs, Vikings?
Everybody should get 2 techs to start with.
Then start researching your first techs wisely.

You don't need bronze to create mines, you need mining for that.

It's obviously going slow because it's only 3 turns a day and epic speed. We're all slowly proceding. I don't think anybody already has a worker, some may have a warrior or 2.

According to the points the Vikings aren't behind but just right on track. I wouldn't worry that much if I would be you

I have mining , but my worker cant make a mine it says till i have bronze working ?????

whatever techs i started with i cant remeber . i didnt play my first turn remeber you did. But they are worthless as not a single tech i got lets me do anything

ok looking at the techs i had Fishing an hunting,

fishing useless to a city stsrting inland, hunting only good to make Scouts, scouts uselss witohut huts. No point meeting other civs unless you got stuff to trade i dont.

So i jsut checked, hte reaosn i cant mine is the damn hill also covered with forrest so means i need bronse to cut it down.

Either way it silly.

So trying to learn more by playing, i guess i stupid cause i researched wrongly, but still dont see how i could have chosen any other path than i did

I only looked casue i thought i had to move my worker , but apparently it cant do anything so it doesnt matter.

Viking, did you ever play Civ IV before ? IF so, you should know that at this point of the game, almost nobody has something to do. And you shouldn't be complaining, because you are not in the jungle, so you don't need to wait until Iron Working in order to get really started.
I agree it feels a bit boring, because in single player you would just pass on those turns very quickly and get to the point at which you have something to do within seconds (depending on your PC's power), but there is nothing to worry about. It is normal to be where you are. True, if you were on the coast, you might have a working-boat to build, but hey, get another warrior instead... you will need him against barbs and nips .
If you may take any comfort out of it : I lost my scout too, and have nothing to do for 7 turns now, and still have 10 turns to wait until i get something to do. In addition, i will have to wait for IW for true expansion because i'm in the middle of a really large jungle. And Pinchack isn't an AI who don't places jungle on ressources... nasty Pinchack .

France has betrayed me in every game I’ve played. even when I help the french and give them money and tech they still turn their evil two faced back to me. now weather you do the same only time will tell but until u prove the french are an honorable people you will be on my sh*t list along with the Mayans.

I am starting to wonder this myself considering the nature of his concerns. Please Viking, if all you plan on doing is whineing then leave. Your constant negitivity is not appriciated. Sorry for being so blunt about it, but if you are having such a hard time this early in the game I can only imagine what is going to happen once you face a REAL problem.

we lets just say i know the leader very well and he has said things which have made me mad enough to take it out on him in the game.

You forgot to add the words "attempt to" before the word take.

It isn't too complicated. If you want to build farms, research agriculture. If you want to build roads research the wheel. If you want to build mines, research mining. Obviously mining does little good for you if you don't have hills. Farms don't you do any good if you don't have fresh water nearby. These are basic, basic parts of the game.

If it takes 30 turns to research tech that'll give you something for your worker to do, it doesn't do you any good to get your worker out in 10, cause he'll be sitting around for 20 turns. Build something else like warriors in the meantime.

For the record I lost my initial warrior to a lion. Sucks, but that's life. The outcomes of games are never decided in the first 20 turns.
