Well you won't have any problems from me since my civ it to busy killing each other to be able to go to war with anyone else. Though I would like to fight the Mayans one day just to see how much stronger my civ is then his. Unfortunately the Mayans don't have the testicular fortitude to come fight me so I guess I’ll never find out.

Ok... If you haven't already guessed which civ I'm playing, then you're either blind or have never played with or against me before. Therefore I don't feel it's any loss to break whatever anonymity I may have had, and say I know the reason England hasn't been posting... But I'm out of hospital now and I'll try to post some time in the next couple of days.
Also, if it's not too late to offer, I can offer my PC as an alternative host whilst Cyber is away, if people desire it.
As for my not posting... I could argue that since my civ has not yet met anyone, then no-one would have any way of know what my civ is doing...
In fact... there's a few things I feel the need to say. I don't want to be contraversial, and I probably should have said them a little while ago (but I think I have a good enough reason for not doing so), but here goes:
Maya vs Corea:
As far as I'm concerned, this was settled according to the treaty plan I proposed (at least in part). Whether or not either side wishes to honor it is up to them, as long as they back up their actions with acceptable story posts (which can be deteremined simply based on how they fare in the votes - if you don't think the posts are good enough, don't vote for them), and don't completely cripple each other in the process.
Double Turns:
This is an exploitable feature, not a cheat... The difference is that a cheat is always BAD™ and always brings some advantage. An exploitable feature can bring advantage, and can be used without reprimand, in certain situations. However deliberately using an exploit to gain an unfair advatage is a cheat. In Maya's case, I do not believe the double move was deliberate and whether or not they gained an advantage is debatable, therefore, it was not a cheat. It was simply a mistake that I should hope Maya has learned from.
As for the rule... Nothing was officially agreed upon beforehand, when it should have been, but that was probably the fault of the community, and not of any one person for not realising what others had decided.
The Worker:
Using OOC confusion to gain an advantage IC, is again an exploit. In this case, I feel that advantage was gained, and that the action was deliberate. I understand that the worker should have been returned by now, but if it hasn't then the community must take action. Maya, if you have already complied, then you have nothing more to worry about.
Vet vs Pro vs N00b:
I do not believe that these designations are on the same linear scale, as some people believe, and therefore cannot be be compared exclusively. I would rather use something called an "Alchemist's Square" (a type of diagram that can be applied to almost any aspect of psychology or social dynamics). In fact, I have made such a square that can be applied to any online game you care to name - including Civ4 Diplo.I would place myself in the top right corner, nearer to the top than to the right, with Lz placed near but further right, Ozzy placed somewhere in the bottom right, and Cyber would be somewhere in the top right... I don't really have enough info on anyone else to be able to place them accurately (although Capo and Toni would probably be in the bottom right with Ozzy).
Anywho... I'll start working on something to post in the Story thread. If anyone remembers to the last time the Funglish appeared in a Diplogame, they might know what to expect... Then again, the whole point of the Funglish is unpredictable insanity, so keep watching.Last edited by MMC; July 11, 2008, 19:39.Ceeforee v0.1 - The Unofficial Civ 4 Editor -= Something no Civ Modder should ever be without =- Last Updated: 27/03/2009
