Second Pitboss Diplomacy Game

Yeah, that does sound easy.

The thing is, I only have the box... no keyboard or monitor for the 2ed rig. This means I would have to figure out a way to switch between the computers using my single monitor.

This is the part where I think Pro comes in handy.

Anyone with techical knowledge feel free to educate me.

I think running the computer without a keyboard and scree once the everything is set up should not be too big a problem, but then again I don't know how often a host has to change stuff on pitboss.

I would say the same thing. Plug everything as i said, Put your screen on the server-pc and turn on the game, then take your screen back on your pc and play normally.

Switching the screen plugs may be annoying, but should work.

Yup it should! And then hopefully after you have it up and running you shouldn't have to switch them back and forth (assuming of course you can connect to your second computer from your first through the internet but that shouldn't be a problem)

You may use 'Remote Desktop Connection' to access your other computer like if you had a monitor and a keyboard/mouse permanently attached or buy a KVM switch if you want a physical connection of a monitor and a keyboard/mouse to both computers at the same time.

I've more or less left poly and civ. But I would still very much like to play a real space diplo game I'm going to make an exception for the sake of this game (will only post in FF threads and will only play one last game of Civ- the pitboss FF Diplo game we are organizing )


We no longer need the unofficial patch, since the 3.17 BtS patch has updated FF too. Now Pinchak can you or can't you host this game? Are any of the solutions presented feasible for us?


Should we try asking Cybershy to host? Would someone mind PMing him? I understand it is possible to host multiple games on the same machine, perhaps we could piggyback on the first pitboss game...
