Danny, Ottomans haven't been eliminated. I think you just logged in as them this evening. So if you want them, the Ottomans are yours. Beta, that makes you Russia.

I have been having problems getting in. I loged on 4 times yesterday. the first 3 never got past 25% of the trasfer and the last try got me all the way to the finnish screen just to stay frozen for a good 20 mins before I gave up on it.

I've been speaking to ozzy and agreed to hold my turn until all players are ready and the rules are confirmed - like remembering the 10 tech rule and how many we've used. Plus, new players need to be across this.

Also war rules need to be clear to avoid double moves etc...

I'm ready to press enter once all that is sorted out.

Is anyone going to Take over germany or is it just going to stay under AI control?

germany was a colony of carpathia that the AI split off. it was suggested that carpathia run both nations until the player saw fit to reunite the nation. (in order to get cheap workers that carpathia desperately needs to get up to speed).

a second player could take germany (which is a vassal of carp) but it is a backwards nations with little hope of ever attaining any greatness as far as I understand.

I will join later tonight see whats up. That was a great game, we stopped it short. iI was flying towards becoming one of the best and most interesting Diplos. Only the numbers of war was amazing.

So i will have a look at my civ and i am ready ASAP to play guys.
