I think with the Northern Hemiosphere on DST and Australia still on DST we should start the game only one hour earlier than the 'old' normal start time of 4pm, thus:

2:30pm for South Australia
3pm for Sydney

Sorry for runing away like that in the last session, but I realy had to go, it was quite important.


I need a sub for this sunday, any human sub who can understand instructions, will do. My empire is very fragile, and I am employing a very risky strategy. Everything could collapse in 10 or so turns. Also the tendency of the AI to create vassals from every island would produce problerms for the entire diplo group not just me. I'm going to double check with my frineds, but as far as I know none that play civ are available at the time, let alone people who can actualy grasp that Diplo is different from a FFA balzing pangea duel. :P

IF you know of any potential subs please tell me so I can ask them, or even ask them yourself.


Perhaps as a last resort Nols, who is semi-permanently subbing as Russia could run France next session, the AI can do more damage to me than to Russia, and she knows my civ better than anyone else. I would need to giver like three bits of info and she'd play a better game than I would!


Also will the Incas make it on time next week? It is rough for him as he is traveling. If he expects to be late for an hour or half an hour, perhaps we could get a sub
to play untill he shows up? It would have been very usefull to have one ready in this weeks session.



There is still a slight chance I can make it next week if we could start half an hour or even an hour early. Is either doable?

I spoke to Mr. Lincoln the other day with the thought that Russia needed a new permanent player (I didn't realize Nolan had volunteered for it) and Mr. L said he was interested in it. But like HOTWXI wouldn't be able to make every session.

Maybe something could be worked out between Nolan and Mr. L to take France next week.

I've spoken to Nols, she is now permanetly Russia. I'm still searching for subs. Would Mr. Lincoln be interested in runing France?


I mean who wouldn't with an anthem as kick ass as ours.

I might check around and see if anyone is interested, but could some of you guys check your own local networks?

Houston, we have a problem.

You will have two IA civs next session and their new world colonies will become civs as the ai are prone to give distant cities their own civ.


I would vote to postpone the session if we can't get subs. Were the starting settings "no colonies" or not?

Most of my playing buddies find playing at the scheduled time an issue for them. I havent found France a sub yet.. and now we have Mali.

Oh, now the Mali understands. Its OK for them to be run by an interim government when important Affairs of State call the leader away, but its not OK for France. Hurrumph. Do I detect just a hint of racism?

OOC: I think this game can survive a single missed session, from what I've heard, HOTWXI failed to launch for a whole number of reasons. Here we are finished our 9th session and we are already in the 14th century. That's pretty good going if you ask me.

The problem with this is that, once this happens others may want to skip a session for themselves if they can't make it some other time.
