It dosen't matter it is not your concern who has voted and who has not, all you should be concerned with is your own votes. And this is what the rule does. It prevents people from getting an unfair advantage in recieving votes while not voting themselves.

I don't think it is any simpler than mine. In any case your rule punishes people who don't vote period, It hurts the one or two casual players we have who only put minimal effort into story. It dosen't target the calculating player who dosen't vote on purpose in hopes of getting a comparative advantage.

Looks like we may have two civs missing for next session (mali and otto)

2 weeks in a row (not playing) would seriously threaten this game.

Of course it is a bit unfair towards Otto if we decide to play now that we didn't play when France and Mali weren't here last session and Otto was here and ready to play.

Hope we play! Game had such a perfect pace, hate to see more breaks!

I agree, but between all of us finding at least one sub to play this weekend should not be too hard. Postponing the game for two weeks is unthinkable.

what about trying to pull in old america, or old russia for a guest session? I just can't get anyone to play at that hour I fear. I could always ask, but I don't think it's likely.

Mongolia has a point, we should contact both of them. In any case we have to try... I'm afraid if we skip this one too we will start loosing players quick.


Even finding just one sub so he makes sure the Ottoman colonial empire dosen't go down might be enough. Sure Mali would be in a thight spot, but we have played with Russia as AI before so maybe if nothing can be found we should consider this.

I talked to Old Russia and they may be willing to sub for the Ottos this coming weekend. They will confirm with me this Friday.

I vote we play this weekend!

If some how we end without a Otto human, next session someone will join as that new AI colony and just go ahead and gift back the lost cities to the Ottomans (the AI capital will be taken by force)

Not the best solution to our problem but its better then nothing.

2 missed sessions will definitely result in a lost interest in this game (people forget and loss the excitement of playing it)

Also we have one possible sub (we will know tommorow- fromer Russia). Good news, I've found someone who might be willing to sub, I will know for sure on saturday.

I don't post when I am going to show, only when I am not going to show. Doing otherwise is as convoluted as posting here when I voted.

I was nominated, but never elected. I will be HAPPY to organize a future game, but I need to be in control from the start, not attempting to mend a faulty system halfway thru. In addition, even if I was elected to organize this game, I don't see a need to "get it back on track". As far as I am concerned it is on track.

Apologies to all and sundry. I have been searching about for a Sub all week, but it's not looking very good at the moment. However, if I am the only one lacking a Sub, then please feel free to continue the game without me for this session. I will be back, 100%, next week. Sorry for the stuff up, its just been a crazy couple of weeks for me.
