HOTW XII Diplogame Organization Thread. Part 2

I'm sorry, organizing was originally my responsibility and I've failed it. The reason is that I've had my normal responsibilities go up by quite a lot, work, a course twice a week and social life take waaaaay more time now than it did at game start.

My initial idea was that we would create a separate website that would gather votes, but I have nowhere near the time to build it. Soon I'll be able to divert a bit more time towards the game and then I'll grab a hold of the organizatorial department and try to sort it out.

That will be this session, so we will return to the time arrangemnt we had before this summer time mix up, Europeans will need to be carefull so that they wake up at the proper time since digital clocks and cell phones may auto-switch to summer time causing problems.

I presume this statement means that northern hemisphere players intend to start the game at the same northern hemisphere time as the early sessions.
If this is the case then the Aussies need to begin
2 hours earlier, ie at 2pm EST.
Can you confirm this is what you mean, as your statement is a little ambiguous, there can be no such thing as all returning to the same time arrangement.

Yes I think that is right, I'm sorry I forgot about you guys in Australia and New Zeland. I was thiking about old time for those living on the northern hemisphere.

Sorry I got so bent out of shape over this. I realize people are doing their best to keep this game on track, and I appriciate it.

In the future however it would make ALOT of sence to have the game organized by ONE person. When several people get involved it leads to confusion.

Admittedly, I didn't realize at first that we were suppose to post that we voted in this thread. All I saw was a chart that said I may or may not have voted. I didn't realize CS was not playing (anonomous logins).

In my defence however, I don't think I or anyone should have to rummage through pages of multiple posts by multiple people, THEN decypher those posts to get to the truth of what is happening or what needs to happen.

LzPrst, totally understandable if you don't have the time to manage this anymore. But you need to pass the torch then. When it is passed everyone else has to STFU and let that one person manage, answer questions, and organize.

Hats off to all who post in the story thread btw. Very entertaining reading. I sometimes find myself going back and rereading old posts that I remembered to be quite good. I am glad to hear that this game may go down as one of the best, it has certainly been fun so far.

Aussies (Sunday Deity 2pm, Marcus and Trev 1:30pm?)
EU 6am (Sunday Morning Lz and H)
US 12 midnight (Late Sat Evening Carpathia, Ozzy, Nolan and Toni)

Damn gas prices!

I will be missing from the forums for the next 4-6 days. So expect from me little participation. I will be travelling 5200km across the US! I will try to pop here and there to see what is going on. The way I have broken my trip I will be playing 100% this Sat night and next Sat (April 5th by the way is my Birthday, so I expect much presents from you all!)

SO in short I will be present during game time! Exhausted from driving or heavily intoxicated on the 5th you will see me!

I am not missing this incredible game even if i have to drive to the moon and back!!!

Well, these were the votes I received since my last report here.
I lost sight on the session numbers. Not everyone puts a session nr in the thread title. And some talk already about session 8 and 9.

I think it's up to you guys to make a standard.
If I may suggest: the host of the game puts the session number after each session.

In HOTW 11 (and 8) I was used to post a tally of the turns per session after every session.
And you can of course use the in-game chat to make clear what session it was. (I think that not everybody is aware of the session nr.)

If elected I say new rule.

If you miss a vote session, you lose 10 points from your final game score.

In this way, we don't even have to concern ourselfs with who is and is not voting. It will all come out in the wash when the game ends.
