Well, it's results that do matter, not names. Also, RaY players always specialized in Renaissance so they're hardly the best representation for a balance in Ancient games. If i know for a fact that it's possible to kill with cats in 1v1 (or a teamer with 1v1 battle, doesn't really matter) and they can't do it in 2v1 then it says that either it was a minimal number of games and they had an unlucky starts or they're inexperienced in Ancient. So, that doesn't prove that cats were fine.

Do you use AIM or anything? ALso, I don't know of any games really at the moment that we could go to. World in Conflict I hear could be good but who knows. Most games these days are following the same trends of dumbed down gameplay with suped up graphics in their never ending quest to make games less complicated and easier for beginners. I would love to find a new game if one existed.
There's always chess for the master strategist in you although I get the impression that you'd be on www.chess.com forums telling everyone how flawed the pawns are (they can move 1 or 2 spaces to start!? It's game breaking!).

For the personality side of you though I'd recommend World of Warcraft. It's not the same genre but you'd fit right in with the couple million other people that like to tell other people they are noobs, point out the hundreds of game breaking flaws that the lesser people can't possibly even fathom with their simple minds and lord the massive time you've sunk into the game over others as the sole means of qualifying your rantings. Only problem is, over there you'll be lost in a sea of people just like you while here you can feel like king dingaling.

Clearly the world of gaming itself is corrupt and has failed you by not providing the ultimate gaming experience that you want... no you NEED... for you to finally be fulfilled. Someday perhaps we'll all get to play out this epic tale in game form.

But it will probably be broken right.

        I don't like chess.

        I don't like online RPGs.

I haven't played any games really since October 2006 other than my little 2 week stint in Warlords in April. It's kind of like that other comment you made about me spending massive amounts of time on games, it's simply not the case. Sounds like you're an MMORPG loser to me.

I'm competitive, and I like to win. I'm not a Canadian that has been taught mediocrity is ok and believes everyone else should be mediocre also. Civ4 is like the socialist governments of the world; it tells you it's ok to be a loser and it actively works to make sure everyone else is a loser with you. I can see why you like it.

I suspect its more like you aren't good at chess or there are probably so many people better at it than you could ever be that you don't want to bother because it can't possibly fulfill your ego.

I also never said you liked mmo's. I said personality wise you'd fit right in. In fact you have forums troll practically tattooed to your forehead so you don't even need to play the mmo you could just bash it from the forums without spending a moment in game - since you are always right about everything why would you even need the experience right?

And honestly, a back handed comment about the fact I live in Canada? Someone with your first rate competitive and strategic abilities should really push for something a bit less trite. Maybe next time you could make fun of the clothes the person you argue with is wearing or throw in a 'your mom' joke. Might as well go all the way with your juvenility.

Good try - I'd save your effort for spewing your disdain of games though. After all they are just software and while you can point out their flaws they can't really hold a mirror up to your character flaws can they? You'll feel better about yourself if you keep to what you do best. Just keep telling yourself 'I'm a competitive gamer, I'm brooding and intense and no one understands me'. Someday everyone will agree they can't hold a candle to you. Someday.

Actually, it's because it's too slow for me. I'm naturally talented at it, so much so that my grandfather was willing to pay for me to take chess lessons when I was 8. I hate chess.

Personality wise I fit the description of most high level players in any game. The fact that you used WoW as an example of this simply proves that you play it. Loser.

How was it backhanded? I was simply stating a fact.

Only a person of weak character themselves would take seriously what is said on an internet gaming forum. Weak people disgust me. I hate everything about them. Socialists and communists are the scum of the world, and the people who come on here and point out that someone is being mean, or try to find some sort of psychological issue in someone's posts when they deviate from the flower filled peaceful norm they believe everyone should follow, are a close second. It is no surprise that the two tend to go hand in hand.

Perhaps some people value kindness to strangers and politeness rather more than you, Eyes. Have you ever considered that?

Nonetheless it would be good to slightly cut down on the personal crap here.

I'm pretty sure no one is forced to read this topic or reply in it. I'm also pretty sure that anyone who directly replies to me knows what's in store for them considering this topic is over 4 pages long. I'm also pretty sure you know where I feel you fit in terms of the kind of people I described in my previous post. However, in the interests of reforming, "Have a nice day Solver." Hmmmmm...that wasn't so bad, let me try another one, "Solver, you're not as big an idiot as I thought you were." Seems that I'm still alive. I'll try this reformed posting in other topics and let you know if I develop a vagina and turn bulimic by the end of the week. Thanks Solver.

                    • Thank you Eyes, I think this won't be too bad for you

I don't think, though, that everyone who replies knows what's in store for them. Sure, this thread gives a fair idea, but people like RuneofDoom haven't, presumably, been reading your posts for years, so they don't know what to expect from you as well as the more veteran posters do.

                      • If he read even 1 reply in this topic then he would know. He came in knowing what he was in store for and he made aggressive posts towards me. I realize however that you feel it is your duty to police the internet so I wouldn't want to get in the way of you playing internet cop.
