The HOTW VII - Setup Thread IV - We Talk Too Much

Oh my i was misunderstood i will be here guys!!! When have I not been here

I was justing saying that i can't wait for the 9th to come to watch the movie, have been waiting for it months. Had to the see the 1962 version to calm myself a bit hehe. I'm a bit addicted to histroy here, and really love the story of Thermopylae

I will be here Feb the 23th, Mar 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and on and on we go. I'm a devolted and a proud member of the diplo reliable club

Ok, good. So how should we schedule this?

[Toni]

We got 3 options I think:

1. We don't play this Friday, and finish HOTW7 on March 2nd (without Mike), and start HOTW8 on March 9

2. We start HOTW8 this Friday (without Kuno), and finish HOTW7 on March 2 (without Mike).

3. We finish HOTW7 this friday (without Kuno), and start HOTW8 next week (without Mike)

I'm a bit confused but something like that.

Just keep in mind that Mike said that he will be here next friday, 2nd of March, the problem was that his plane may be late or something like that.

I think we should go for option 1:
- finish HOTW7 with Kuno, without Mike (because Kuno was longer involved with HOTW7) (March 2nd)
- start HOTW8 with all players (March 9th

We can always play a nice 1 session game this friday, just for the fun of it, normal speed, no diplo style, with turn timer . Always fun to find out how we all perform in such a game
(and to avoid that my wife starts to think that I gave up on night-civ)

I wouldn't mind another Friday off. I have a girl I"m working on, and she's free Friday night. So option 1 sounds good to me too. But I could go with option 2 also if people wanted.

Do you think Kuno wouldn't mind us starting HOTW8 without him? I like option 2 as well, but we should give Ozzy a chance with the girl maybe too.

Don't give Ozzy the girl! He may lose interest in us!

we are losing momentum...

I really don't want Mike and Kuno to miss out but we always played when a quorum was available. Why change now? I might not be around in a few months (going OS possibly mid May) and I'll have to make plans for that... with subs whatever...

If we don't play this week I'll lose interest soon...

It's true that we must end this game before the vacations start!

Then I suggest that we start HOTW8 this weekend and end HOTW7 next weekend and continue HOTW8 after that.

Maybe OZzy's girl can sit on his lap during the game, that would fix that problem as well.

That'd be a fun second date.


"Hey, I know we don't know each other very well, but do you want to come over and watch me play civ while sitting on my lap?"

If she says "Yes" then you know she's the perfect wife and you should marry her!
If she says "No" you can dumb her right away. It's the perfect test!

Oh, she should of course do more then just sit on your lap! She also must supply you with food and beer and comfort you when I took another one of your cities! (theoretically)
