The big question is: am I a fool for being the only one who's philosophical? I'm sure I'm not 8)

Philosophical/spiritual is a very very strong combination. And I hope I can stretch it to it's limits like I can in SP. I think it's a very good diplogame combination as well.

well, you will soon find out cyber

I thought the story thread was closed until friday? special rules for mods? evil mods'ess, we hatess them, yesss preciousss, we hatessss the modsss, thinksss they are bettersss than ussss, yessss preciousss, we hatesss them, especially the fat one

omni wasnt quite sure of civs, I suggested something creative and he thought it might be fun, but the only options then are kublai khan and louis XIV (excluding any clones). is it possible to tweak a leader to one of the missing creative/combos? for example philosophical, expansive, charismatic or protective (not financial, too many of those already )

If not I think he'll go for Kublai khan.

Ozzy is the evil mod who breaks in in threats that I closed
But he actually did what I was intended to do anyway so in the end we may be mental twins anyway.

Regarding to modding leaders, I think that we should get the modded files in that case and we should all install that. I don't think that'll work. I hope we can install the UN mod later though in which everybody can be voted in as the UN secretary general, but that's going to be hard enough to spread among all players.

BTW, I think we should not delay this game anymore. Next week at least one other person can't play (forgot who) and I think it's not fair to let him miss the first session (while he was very involved with all preparation) so that two people who were totally not involved with the preparations can play. Besides that, delaying is not good for me, it may be my end because I LONG FOR THIS GAME

clearing this post up a little.

          Important

Omnipotent trout wants a creative civ, but he doesnt really want the Mongols. and unfortunately, they are the only remaining civ that has a creative leader. his choice fell on France and Louis XIV, but I had missed that Colonel_Treize had chosen France with Napoleon.

So I am wondering, since firaxis has killed off a bunch of creative leaders, should we allow a double? Perhaps we could rename him to Poland or Germany or something?
Or could we change for example Frederick to Cre\Ind or Cre\Phil?

          What do people think?

If he cant have France with Louis he said he would just take whatever new warlords civ was available, would be celts\ottomans.

I've fleshed out the TORaCTT rule a little bit more in the first post to be sure that we wno't get fights over it. I think we must be very clear about it.

            Tech-trade: TORaCTT
trade only (self)researched or conquered techs twice
            - Conquered techs are techs that you got in exchange for peace with another civ that lost at least one city to you. (ie. Russia loses the city of Novograd to England, England offers Russia peace if Russia gives gunpowder to England. England can trade gunpowder twice now)
            - For trading techs for peace the TORaCTT rule counts as well! Only techs someone researched himself or gained through conquest that weren't traded twice already can be traded for peace.

I suddenly realise that we have TWO France in the game, I don't think that's a good idea. Colonel_treize had already chosen Napoleon, perhaps Omni can fall back on the Mongols again

The player-table in the first post of this thread now contains LINKS to all player-profiles and a direct link to send them a PM.
If you put all players in your buddy list (try if THIS LINK works or go there through your profile) then you can send group-pm's to them!!

Maybe all players can turn the following option in their control panel on as well:

Pop up a box when you receive a Private Message

Some users, like Schtix, Nolan, Colonel_Treize and Toni have been online during the past 6 days but have still unopened PM in their inbox.
It's really important that all players read their PM's in time!!

I'd like it very much as well if all players want to confirm that they can play friday. I think we haven't heard yet from:

                  - Schtix
                  - Nolan

                  at least.

If it's easy to change a civilization-name (like Louis-France becomes Louis-Germany) then I'm fine with that, but I want to be sure that we don't have two frances in the game and that there won't be any place where 'france' appears instead of 'Germany'.

If you can confirm that, I'm fine.

BTW. am I posting too much in this thread (trying to get things perfect)

The problem has been solved. Omnitrout has decided to take the Celts instead as he cant be bothered to cause any (more) trouble. It really is a shame that firaxis has killed off so many of the creative combos, or else he would have gone for one of those. Oh well, at least we'll get something exciting and new

I need to ask you guys if it’s ok for me to change my Civ from Persia to some other, In order to solve the problem having the same civ as someone else I will rename mine to Bulgaria and I will be playing Khan Asparukh. I feel this way I will be able to portray my civilization in the best possible manner, when having the freedom to get the traits it best suits it historically.

Let me know what u think asap, so i can pick a civ before we start on friday, tx

You can change your civ and leader name in game any time.
                              Doesn't bother any of us.
