    Priority list:

    - Only able to trade techs you invented yourself
    - all players can be voted in as UN SG (I created such a mod myself but I'm unable right now to get it done for Warlords, I can't compile the c++ code )
    - voting a religion in through the UN (as if that's ever going to happen anyway)

      It would be even more cool for there to be a mechanism for a player to be a "pariah" state ... just shoot the 'blue helmets', and do as you please.

      Maybe some kind of penalty would attach ... like maybe considering the "pariah" to be a barbarian state, or somesuch.

      Which is more in line with reality. The UN has no mechanism to enforce edicts. It has to rely on member states to do the dirty work.

        Real cool UN resolutions would be:
        - close borders with state x
        - close all relations with state x
        - end trade with state x
        - allow te declare war on state x

        Of course it should also be possible to break with the UN. In that case a state isn't forced either to follow the UN resolutions. All UN members can then decide to break all bounds with that state. (and then some states can step out of the UN again)

            If you are referring to the one I am meant to create, then the answer is no-sorry . I am trying to come up with something that should work, but its proving more complicated than I thought. Plus, a lot of my time is taken up doing "you know what" lately , but I will try & have something for you SOON!

                          Remember that these mods need to be made BtS-ready before they can be used!

                          Another mod that I'd like to have is a AP mod that makes it possible for all religions to have an AP, and where only state-religion civs can be member of an AP, and with AP resolutions only apply to entire religious groups, and not to single civs.
                          Lastly the AP resident should be electable from all AP members, the AP host (who built the AP) should get double votes.

                          I think that would be great use for diplogames.
                          It makes it more important to pick the right state religion.
                          Holy wars between religions will be possible as well, which sounds very diplogamish.

                          Not to mention that a crusade makes sence, the war stops (automaticly) as soon as a civ switches to another state religion

                          Free Religion should obviously stay out of all those AP troubles.

                          • I am poking around with modding a bit on my own. I haven't done anything more involved than make maps since Civ2 and whew, it is one hell of a lot more complicated than what I remember. I am sloooowly getting the very, very basics. (like adding new civs, kinda, maybe, sorta).

                            So maybe at some point I could help make custom civs for diplogames if we ever wanted to go that route. I'm hoping to learn more advanced stuff, but if the basics are giving me this much trouble I doubt I"ll have the time or skill to learn the more advanced stuff to help with our wish list.

                            In any event, if anyone is interested in what I'm working on it is an alternate history scenario that imagines what the United States would look like if every movement for independence and/or secession was successful. So, USA, vs. Confederacy vs. Texas vs. California vs. Vermont vs. Utah vs. Oregon, etc.

                            I have some pretty ambitious ideas for it and very little talent for carrying it out, but if you want to help in any way, please check this thread out:

I have begun work on an ambitious new mod/scenario that will attempt to answer that question. I hope I can enlist the help of many people here to make this a reality...


                            Any voice of support would help actually, not many have posted there thusfar. If I don't generate some interest and get some modding help this scenario isn't going anywhere.

                            • As far as the tech trading problem in diplogames, maybe you should turn off tech trading altogether and instead use some of those mods I posted above.

                              They wouldn't bind us to any allies the way tech trading does, plus it still helps out players who are behind.

                              • True, banning tech trading altogether would remove exploits, but would also remove what I consider a good part of the game. Tech Brokering at least removed part of the exploit factor because-for my part, I will sometimes refuse a tech if I want the opportunity to trade it myself. A mod which could prevent techs from being GIVEN AWAY would be good, as would a mod which boosts tech rates between allies & trading partners.
