        Ok, I got (finally) time to look into it, and in 1 hour Ozzy and me will start testing it. I can't get it running though, is it best that I make a new copy of my warlords folder (thus a 2nd game installation in fact) and copy all the files into their original directory (thus altering the game itself, not installing it as a mod?)

        I can't get it to work as a mod, having said that, I'm not good at installing mods. I have putted it all into the mods folder and updated the "mod = " in the ini file of warlords, that results in a billion errors when starting the game. I'll give it a try by putting it all in the right place in a new copy, tell me if that's wrong. (and what I should do to do it right)

          Ok, I get errors when I try to load the mod.
          Both when I unzip the files in the mods\whatever folder and when I copy all files into the right place in the game directory.

          Please tell me what I'm doing wrong!

              Ok, I'm finally around, sorry I wasn't back sooner.

              It was a really nice day out, and who knows when we'll have another one like this so I figured it was my best chance to clean the gutters and put up Christmas lights. I'm back now (and tired) but ready to do some mod testing if you're still around...

                Well, if you can figure out how to start the mod, then I have a few more minutes for testing....
                Hmmmm, looking at the clock, not that much time.

                I'm home tomorrow evening (that's 18:00 - 22:00 UTC)

                  Ok, I tried loading it too and it is definitely screwed up.

                  First time I just put the folder in the mods/ folder and loaded it up in the game. When it loaded I got the same billion messages CS did. Then I tried editing the .ini file as the readme says, but then I just got the same billion messages.

                  Both times I had to ctrl+alt+del to kill the game because the errors never stopped.

                    Hi Ozzy and CyberShy. I'm sorry I know what the cause of the error is, and it is relatively easy to solve. I apologise for not making sure it was properly parsed before uploading it, but I am sure it worked properly on my computer . Anyway, I will solve it as soon as I get home tonight, then upload the fixed version. Thankyou for your patience and-once again-I do apologise!

                        Just so you know, there is actually only 1 error. The problem is that, due to the nature of XML, it feeds all the way down the line-creating errors in the entire XML file. I feel kinda dopey for having missed it!

                            OK, quickly loaded the new one, and it seems to be working fine. It was a really silly error, as it happens. A single line I got wrong in Civ4TechnologiesSchema. It was supposed to be FirstTrade, but I had repeated the Trade function.
                            Anyway, here is the link to the corrected file. Good luck with it .

                                I'm around now, I've tested it in the train and the "can't trade techs you didn't invent yourself" thing didn't work. I received Anibal Husbandry from the German and could trade it the next turn to the Indians.

                                I'll come online in a few minutes to test it in a MP game though.
