Check out the thread, for HOTW7. Its out latest game about to be setup. We've narrowed down the options and time slot, but if you're able make them and commit to it, there's no reason you couldn't still sneak in. That is unless, you're going to attack me with giant mechs or something.

Colonel_Treize... I just caught the reference in his name to Gundam Wing. Was hot when I was back in high school. Giant Japanese Combat Armor that looks like 50 foot tall samurai armor.
Treize is very much like Reinhart von Loinengram, the main opposition to the character in my avatar from Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Fellow commrades, when I read in the diplogames manual that it is the champagne and opera to duel games' beer and tractor pull, I thought I would look into it. But after reading that last post, I know I am in the right place, that much is for certain!
Would you believe I actually had to explain my ID to those fellows over at the Ladder? 
Mr. Johnson, you are the first and only person ever to pick up that reference right away. 
Currently, Treize Kushrenada is still by far my favorite fictional character from any movie, TV show or book. And yes, you can hold me to play that character in diplogames. If I had any talent, I would create a mod based on the OZ organization and the empire it created. The UU would have to be based on the modern armor, though, as I believe mechanized infantry is unmanned.

I believe the mech inf. is meant to be the part of the Army that deals with getting troops to the front lines quickly, and in one piece. In other words, they're the rapid respone group who use APCs to get around. Therefore the Civ4 unit for mech inf. is an APC with the troops riding inside.Originally posted by Colonel_Treize

I stand corrected. But since neither a mobile suit nor a Gundam is strictly used for transportation either, I would still use the Modern Armor as a template for a mobile suit. Treize would be Charasmatic and Organized (like Napoleon) or Protective (like Churchill). But I wonder what OZ's unique building will be... How about an OZ recruitment center?

Their building would have to be the neo-cavalier ballroom. OZ members can only breath for a short period of time before having to return to one of these structures.

I'd love to play a diplogame. It seems fascinating. I'm a newb to CIV4 but I think i would make up for some interesting writing

Not currently. Unfortuently getting a real diplo game started is a difficult proceedure. If you try to do it half way you end up with HOTW6, a game with too few players and backups, that ends as soon as a couple of players schedules fall out of line.Comment

There's a possibility of interest in a simultanious game. we currently have quite a pool of players that couldnt join in for HOTW7 for various reasons. If you seek them out you may get lucky and find 7+ players which should be the minimum in order to get a proper diplogame with blood and tears going.
