Hope we can get a game going tonight, I'm getting kinda annoyed with the type of games I'll have with random people on the internet.
Last game was a simple Pangaea, six players, usual MP settings... within 20 minutes three players had dropped out including the host (Got to wonder what is the ****ing point when the person hosting the game spends more time in the lobby than in the game itself). A close Neighbour tried to capture my capital in the first few turns, but I stopped him, but where would the fun in just destroying one of the players straight off be? After a little while someone came in to take over from one of those who'd dropped out, left almost immediately and then rejoined as the strongest nation. My participation ended after he spent about 20 turns letting the timer run out every time, just so that he could double-move and capture my capital with a stack of horse archers from four squares away (Not even letting me rush a spearman). Didn't help that my housemate was squawking at me about some BS at that very moment, but that's not her fault... Typical game, really.

Even after losing two cities to the barbs when I had two 80% + attack odds to save them. Since those were my 3rd and 4th cities, I'm sure I would have been more competitive otherwise.
