Alright, I am officially back into the fold. Thanks for DD for the subbing and thanks for holding my place.

So anyone who is worried about having too many AI stop, I am back. As long as we can contact the others and get them in we should be able to play.

In the interest of making sure this goes down correctly I may need to get together with some of you tomorrow at some point to test the connection. Just in case, for whatever reason, I would give you guys trouble. I also think I need to re-install the game entirely, but I'll take care of that before tomorrow.

As far as being surrounded by AI, I think we should see how we can resolve the issue in-game rather than out of game, and if it poses to be too much of a problem them we start talking about out-of-game solutions.

So if anyone can be online tomorrow around the time we play the game (approx. 23 GMT) that's when I should be around to test my connection.

i dont know about thursday. dont even know if I'm needed.

but I have some "bad" news. on friday I cant join right away. I have a thing with my friends that we've postponed 3 weeks already and I'm not gonna be the guy to postpone it another week or more. I will probably be able to play a little, but not from the start. sorry for that.

When I first started this game, I mentioned that I was a Tourney Director for the CIV ladder. The ladder has clan championships every six weeks. The championships are this weekend.. Friday to Sunday. I have offered to do my usual the first two events, which frees me up to play Saturday or Sunday.

At this point I don't know how I'm going to do both things well enough. One event is at 4 est, the other is at 7 est. If there is a problem in the lobby, I need to be able to mediate.

If we change this week's time or date, it will be helpful for my problem. I have done a lot of research for my story.. which is an important Chinese period for mastering many techs...

Maybe we should skip this week and play next week.

it's fine with me if you guys play this week with me. But for the strength of the game it's better I think to not let 4 players who have been in since the first session miss a session all at the same time.

Ah, but this is also the first session Capo and Nico will be able to play. And Deity is back of course. It probably won't be any different than the first session when there were 4 absent (and Lz can play part of the session he says).

But it doesn't matter to me. We can skip this week or we can play on, I'll go with whatever y'all decide.

I think that I prefer an AI above a sub.
If we want this game to last, I think we should try to keep every player as much as possible involved.

The more often players need a sub, the more players will lose connection with their civ.
To start the game, we had to start one day. But now we have started, I think we should make some rule. ie. if 3 or 4 or more players can't play, we won't play.

Or we try to find a better moment in the week.
Saturday the same hours, would that be possible?

Again, it's just my opinion, if you guys want to play, play. I'll continue anyway when I'm back. The next week I can't play will be the first friday of May 8)

Whatever you guys decide for this friday is fine with me, but I have a problem for the oncoming sessions that I shoud have foreseen but couldn't. The time.

Events in my personal life, my wife and my kids have pushed my starting time for gameplay to 9pm local (12am gmt), though 11pm gmt was doable. Sadly, daylight savings time will end and I go back to gmt-4 so 11pm gmt is 7pm local which is too early for me given my current rl circumstances. There are 3 possibilities:
Change the time for the sessions which I think would be almost impossible and unfair on you guys...
or get soemone else to play for me (incas)...
or get rid of the incas, helping england's situation in the process (maybe merge the two cultures by city gifting and friendly takeover of cuzco).
If me playing is necessary for any of these I can do it this friday.
If any of this is an incovinience for you guys, I am truly sorry, I should have forseen this problem with my availability. But the fact remains that I am still very interested in the diplogame, this one or maybe another more accomodated to western timezones

curse those timezones! oh well. not much we can do about it. but what if you just lose out the first hour every session

we usually need half an hour to get started anyway so you probably wont miss much. we might even be able to get a permanent sub for you to help play that one hour when you're unavailable?

If you decide to go on with this. I might just pop in now and then and be sure my civ has a line up of things planned. Usually the events in ccc, once started have few things for me.. but if they should need me, I should be around. be sure to email me the ip.. Im not sure how much i can play, but an ai civ might mess up my plans.
