Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
It is important to heed the link LzPrst posted, that was the only problem we really had, and it wasn't even that big a deal.
If you don't know already, the game didn't work out tonight, there were around four or five times that we tried to start it correctly, and none of them went well. Whether or not the problem was due to a firewall issue, or due to the version (or patch) we were using is still up in the air.
But the point remains, tonight's attempt didn't work out.
The next week should be dedicated to getting this thing up and running, which means we are going to have to make sure our firewall settings are correct, and if this new patch does in fact come out in time we should all get it installed as soon as possible.
The turnout was great, and I urge everyone who showed up to do so again. We had around 7 to 8 players, which is a solid group, so we should all try and make that continue.
CyberShy, you should get your brother here on Apolyton just in case there are any updates he should be aware of, not to mention the fact that he will be required to post. This is something I think we should address before the game starts too; there should be at least one post by each player per session. It takes a few minutes and adds to the game's interest, so we should all understand that we have to post.
All in all though, I wouldn't chalk tonight's experience up as a failure. I think we all learned that it is going to take some preparation this time around before we go into the session. If we truly dedicate this week to getting everyone's firewalls set correctly, and attempting to make sure we can all connect with eachother we'll be fine.
So with that said, I hope nobody has been discouraged from playing in this game, I think the crew we've put together looks solid, and the fact that everyone showed up for the game (with a couple of other players helping out) there is no way this game can fail.
Thanks for showing up everyone, we'll have better luck next time.
Peace.

We were in the game with 7 once.
That was when I hosted. I think my hardware-router didn't accept 7 people suddenly at once coming into my computer and totally disconnected. That's why my connection broke immediately after the game started.
I'm going to remove the router from between for next session, then we should try again.
The best we had was starting a game with 5 players. (Dragon, LzPrst, LzPrst's flatmate, Deity and me)
Ozzy and Deity couldn't join in that game, which is strange since they could earlier.
I think a next patch may fix a lot since there were a lot of strange situations that are to blame on the game IMHO.
I'll let Dragon know (Again) to register on poly.
I had a lot of fun though last night
