Noble to Prince - unbearable

I lost one at 99.9% but then I did do over a 1000 attacks with GG so you'd expect to lose one of these. Which is why i'll be looking more at flanking and tactics.

I like taking tactics early on for most units. I have to take a deep breath and smile every time I see a CG withdraw from combat

If you can get AI's to come at you over hills, consider guerilla 3 too ming. This is more of a gunpowder or later thing but guerilla 3 is a 30% hills attack while hills are only a 25% defense boost. The end result is that you have better odds hitting something on a hill than on flat land, and you've got the withdrawl then too. It's a solid way to protect your CR/woodman units.

And for the record, go back through this thread and search for the word 'idiot'. You will notice that YOU are the only one that has tossed around this insult. Everyone else has been discussing/questioning your strategies. You claim that some have misunderstood what you've posted. But you've also admitted that your language use is not always that good.

Remember the ole saying. You don't win arguments by calling someone an idiot. It's best if they don't figure that out for a few days. Your mastery of the language isn't good enough for that type of subtlety.

You seem to be the one missing the point. I've been discussing civ. They are opinions about the game/strategy.
You on the other hand resort to personal insults, non civ related. I haven't said you should grow up, or implied you have no friends, called you personally an idiot, or many of the other insults you have used.

But I will continue to disagree with your flawed strategies... You keep changing what you say when somebody points out how wrong your approach is...

And if your whole defense is that I said noble instead of prince, that's actually pretty funny.
Prince, noble, it doesn't make much difference. Most of the real experienced players play SP at higher levels, which changes significantly how you have to play the game. Many things that you can accomplish at the lower levels can't be done at the higher levels.

And I will repeat that your current game settings are rigged in the favor of the human and a builder. Again, if that's what floats your boat, fine... that's what custom options are for. But that doesn't change the fact that you've made the game much easier for yourself and the style of play you seem to like. Combine that with the level at which you play, and you pretty much insure yourself an easy game.

if you think its ok for you to give faulty advice on false assumptions based on yourself and the fact you dont even have enough correct info to be giving advice, then expect this to continue. i gave many many examples of your presumptuous nature and that one post was just one page!

Actually, I would think that resorting to name calling is an implicit admission that I have lost ground in the debate and am scrambling to recover. If I have to resort to undermining the other person's credibility rather than simply discussing the merits of the case, then that says something.

yeah thats what happens when someone assumes too much then gives advice (in a not great manner btw) based on faulty info, even when i clarified it for him he failed to stop the attack of myself and strategies based on those assumptions. i listed quite a bit of his assumptions and showed just how far off he was, yet he kept at it and i dont see anyone protesting giving faulty advice when your wrong. if i did that to you for example, and kept at it even after you tried correcting me, you'd get very annoyed too. its kinda funny i just proved my point with my post on the prior page of ming's assumptions ect and i see no one protesting such manner here on the forums, if giving your advice based on your own assumptions instead of basing it off of the info giving then i dont want to hear any insults come my way should i do what mings doing to all of you who fail to grasp and acknowledge all the points i made (i could make more points right from here in these forums, the ones i posted were from just ONE page).

But again, read the rules/FAQ. It's ok to discuss people's strategy and point out the flaws of their game logic. It is not OK to start with the personal insults.

Our "discussions" do become heated, and there is always a lot of disagreement and different approaches to the same problem... but personal insults aren't a part of it.

But if you all you are going to do is break the rules and personally insult people, you will never really become a member of this community.

Your choice... because the community remains the same either way. You can add to it, or simply be on the outside looking in.

if YOU think its ok to give advice with faulty info because YOU think it doesnt matter, then im not the last person thats gonna end up disliking you. there is another here named Senethro who doesnt like you either, i wonder if what he has to say about you would be similar to what ive been saying. goes to show you maybe just maybe your methods of advice giving need to be re-thought. and stop patronizing people, you are not better than anybody here. if your word is superior to others simply because of what you think and/or thought you heard then other people may feel the need to call you what they feel on their minds. you will never win, i provided many examples of your false assumptions that you neglected to mention oh and i can always go to the next page where i stopped and post that page then another then another, you would see how much you either misunderstood and/or didnt care about since you had already made up your mind. your just as thick-headed as me.

dont be a hypocrite, follow the rules yourself, lead by example. dont mock or patronize people and you wont have to worry about this ever happening, listen to what people say and if they clarify, listen to that too. your making the choice to NOT listen and say whatever you want faulty or not.
