Ah, thanks, I'll look at that save.

Theocracy has always worked this way and is by design. It merely means that non-state religions won't spread by themselves or by foreign civs.

That is a documented change, I think with v3.13. Move OUT of your city first, then cross their border.

Wha? I had assumed that non-state meant non-state and didn't use Theocracy very often as a result. Thanks

If it's a bug, it's an intermittant one. I didnt get it while moving a just-built privateer directly into another civs territory. Are you playing a scenario or perhaps it's cos I installed the unofficial patch?

You can reproduce it if you download the save I posted. It's a normal game, not a scenario, with 3.17 and Solver's 0.19.
I keep a record of all my civ games here.

In my latest game I was asked to "free" one city which I had captured from the barbs (original Barb city) to Native Americans, whom I had not yet met.

Since I installed the patch, no civ is trading with me. They trade maps, techs and money, but no more resources.

Even an 8+ civ doesn't want to trade resources with me.

I think the phalanx is bugged. I'm not getting the 100% bonus against chariots in my current game (now aborted due to yet more crappy combat).

Isnt the title of this game Beyond the Sword? Why do I now spend most of my time playing a bad wargame?

Does anyone know if the bug causing no collateral damage from tanks has been fixed? Or anything fixed, yet?

That is not a bug, actually. It is intentional; the bug is allowing Tanks to still get the Coll Damage promotions.

Check Solver's patch, he's fixed quite a bit of stuff (like that):

Let's not be overly generous here - it wasn't done deliberately, they simply decided to live with it.

Nerfing tanks, an intentional change. Elsewise, why build any other land units except tanks and the antiaircraft guys.

In my current game, all the AI civs disappeared from the display at the bottom right of the screen, although I was still there. Did I simply press a wrong button or was this a bug? I'm afraid I forgot to take a screen shot, and the AI civs reappeared when I saved and loaded.

Just click on the name of your civ and they'll reappear.

                                It's a feature, not a bug.
