I would tend to believe that is intentional, for the reason you stated; a lot of complaints existed about the road graphics coming in too soon.

It's not that the updated road graphics are showing up 'too soon' they aren't showing up at all, even in the modern era. I'm still pretty sure however, that the updated road graphics were disabled intentionally to avoid confusing roads and railroads.

In my game, my cavalry doesn't flank against catapults and trebuchets. Has anyone else seen this? I haven't started a "fresh" 3.17-game yet, but patched and still playing on an old 3.13 + Bhruic... (and tanks + colleteral = 0 her also)

Cav flanks cannon. HAs flank the other. Doesn't have anything to do with 3.17.

I was one of those who had trouble telling them apart without zooming in.

Except in 3.17 Cav is supposed to flank cannons, catapults and trebuchets.

In the MP game I was playing last night we had the same problem. It may be because it's a left over 3.13 save.

When you change xml files (which is how the flanking siege changes were done in v3.17), units which were created before the change keep their old characteristics. Units created after the change will reflect the changes made to the xml.

That explains it, thanks But what about upgrades? I would assume that create a new unit programming speaking?

Is it already agreed who will do this new unofficial patch? You, or Bhruic, or someone else?

At least, the list of bugs and their significance seems to be considerably smaller than with 3.13, so I believe it should also be a considerably smaller job to do the patch this time...

Solver's already doing the patch and has released the first couple of versions already. Look for the thread.

                        Using 3.17 with Solver's 0.19:

Privateers can no longer enter the terrain of opponents when you do not have open borders. An attempt to do so causes the "Do you want to declare war?" pop-up.

This is probably an error caused by the following bug-fix:
"Privateers cannot enter other teams' empty cities."

Please disregard. I have attempted to duplicate the error but have been unable to do so. Privateers seem to be working fine now. The mistake must have been mine.

                              Update:
There is a bug. If you try to move a privateer from your own city into an opponent's terrain then you get the "declare war?" pop-up.

See the attached save. If you attempt to move the Privateer located in Medina into Sitting Bull's terrain, you can reproduce the bug. For comparison, try moving a different privateer in and you will see that it works correctly.

                                Also:
I am easily spreading non-state religions within my own civilization even though I am using the Theocracy civic. I suspect that this is not intended and is probably a bug.
