  • Bugs thread - 3.13

    I think we need a bug thread for 3.13... so here it is

    Any bugs that are not fixed in 3.13, or bugs that were introduced by 3.13, should be posted here.

    If you are able to reproduce the bug, please also post a save from which the bug can be easily seen.

    Please do not post any suggestions or things that don't work as you think they should, but are working as intended

    The bug with some automated workers not working if you've selected "dont chop forests" is not fixed in 3.13. I'll post a save sunday night when I'm back in NJ.
    We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

      I am still experiencing that annoying MouseOver problem where the additional information is not
      displayed when the mouse is hovering over a unit, or a city, techs, or even special event options.

      I was really hoping it would be fixed, but hey..this one has been around since vanilla Civ4 came
      out, and it's certainly not a show-stopper for me.

        Is it a consistent problem or intermittent? Sometimes I get that, but then I can click on (highlight) a city, and click off it, and the mouseovers all come back.

          The mouseover problem if you are talking about the intermittent one is just how it is ... there's something wrong in the code that tells it to hover or stop hovering, and that probably won't get fixed given it's well known.

          You can always reset the hovertext by moving your mouse over the flag on the bottom right of the screen.

              @snoopy & wodan:

              Yes , it's the intermittent mouseover bug. Mousing
              over the flag doesnt solve it for me, but alt-tab'ing
              in and out of the game does.

              Like I said, it's not a show stopper for me.

                Mouseovers for buildings in the city build menu (i.e. choosing production) are not showing their culture or espionage points. For example, Temples just say +1 , no +1 Culture.

                I'm kind of surprised and dismayed that something this obvious made it through testing. I have Steam vanilla + BtS, if that turns out to make a difference.

                  Something I have already reported over at civilized.de and confirmed by at least another user:

                  When using vanilla UK BtS release (v3.0.0.91) and patching directly to v3.13, the game will crash as soon as it has finished loading and showing the main menu. You will hear about 1 second of music, then you're back at the desktop with no further error notification.

                    FYI -- Bhuric, on CFC, has a fix for this, for those who can use the SDK:

                        Just got this minor one in ongoing game:

                        1868 AD: A cache of ancient texts has been discovered. There's two options, plus beakers for science (Divine Right) or Minus some gold and plus culture in the Budist Monstary. I pick the culture one.

                        I zoom into the city but there is NO additional culture in it, just the +2 that all monstaries are giving in every city. I do have Scientific Method so perhaps the extra culture expires (and would have been already pre-expired), but in that case I don't think I should have gotten that option at all.

                          Have you checked against the actual cpt in that city to see for sure if this is the case? This might be related to the above reported bug, whereby the cpt bonus from buildings like Temples and Monasteries is not shown in the 'mouse-hover' info screen. Since this is an ongoing game, the bug may only affect the new cpt you have gained since patching, hence you not seeing the newly gained event culture, even though you in fact get said culture.

                            BTW the count of users with the crash bug is increasing. Hard to imagine this could slip Firaxis' watchful eyes during the long testing period for the patch.
