    OFFICIAL BtS Release date & Box Cover

    Several sites, including GameSpot, Blue`s News and Joystiq are reporting that Civilization IV publisher Take-Two has released an official press statement saying that the game`s second expansion Beyond the Sword will be released on July 23 in North America and by the end of July in Europe. This contradicts earlier unofficial reports of an early July release date [see story].

    At the same time Take-Two also released the official box cover art for North America, a small version of which accompanies this news item. Click on the image for a high-res graphic (1024x1432 JPG, 1 MB).

      That was already announced a few weeks ago: $29.99 in the US.

        That "Games for Windows" logo looks so bad, it destroys the look of the box art. Details I know, but MS should be able to do better.

        Anyhow, late July sounds good, by that time I will have earned more than enough money on the summer job to purchase the XP with good conscience.

                July 23 sounds good. I just started back to work and should easily be able to afford it by then, along with a kick ass computer to play it on. I'm going for top of the line this time, no more dicking around with second best.
