Maybe not directly, but I'm fairly certain you would be able to remove any civilization by editing the appropriate elements in the XML files.

        • They've been saying it for a long time, but there's no confirmation on whether that is true. So their claim is pretty much pure speculation.

EDIT: I am not referring to the inclusion of Gilgamesh, which is known to be true, but to the question of whether he leads Sumeria.

Ah, I see. Well, it makes sense, but if it's unconfirmed, we'd better wait on it.

The statement was made by Tim McCracken, QA Manager and scenario designer, in the Tim McCracken speaks on Eurogamer.

                • Methos, I don't see where that article says that Gilgamesh leads Sumeria.

Yes. We've added loads of new leaders. We've got Abraham Lincoln, Gilgamesh, Justinian.

Historically speaking, Gilgamesh could be a leader of Sumeria or of Babylon.

My mistake. I misunderstood the original question. I misread it as questioning the inclusion of Gilgamesh, rather than what civ he was the leader of. My apologies.

                      • There are some people at CFC claiming that the new elephants units in the scrennies are a clear sign of a Southeast Asian civ. I think the screenies are from the Crossroads of the Worlds scenario.

                        • On amazon.com they have the release date for BTS as July 10th, is this a misprint or if I order off amazon will I get it sooner?

As Thunderfall stated on CFC, Amazon posted this date prior to the official release date being mentioned. Besides, I've always found release dates from Amazon to typically be incorrect.

My own opinion, is that it's a marketing strategy. By stating an earlier date, consumers will tend to buy from them on the off chance they will get it earlier.

Probably a sound opinion, as I probably would have ordered offline if I hadn't been following info on BTS closely.

Also Methos, I've asked a few times on this forum but haven't gotten a response, probably just cause solver missed it, but I was wondering if you know whether or not the United Nations will include the same voting options as the AP, i.e. trade embargoes, war declarations etc.?

I don't know Methos, but he may not be able to answer that either.
