Public Works. In stead of workers, you allocate a certain amount of PW points per turn from your treasury and simply click on the map and build where ever you think you need it.
And no, guys. We do _not_ need that discussion again, just explaining him it and then we quit before someone destroys the thread.Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

No, PW points weren't allocated from treasury, they were allocated from production. So if you allocate 20% to PW, your cities only build stuff at 80% production capacity.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

Solver could include something about this screenshot in the fact sheet. It appears to be a Mayan ruler based on the buildings and the skull shape on his necklace.USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!

Anyone seen this one yet? It's a "Hands-on".

I wonder if stardock is at all upset about this final frontier scenario? I mean, from what I've seen it is a direct rip of GalCiv2. Even some of the concepts explained are very similiar.
Also could I possibly get solver to confirm that the U.N. will in fact include all of the A.P. options i.e. Trade Embargoes, and war declaration? If not is anything different about the UN in BTS. Oh pretty please tell me!As long as people believe in absurdities they will continue to commit
atrocities.

There's a new interview highlighted in the other site which had some more interesting tidbits:
Link here
There will be new world-types and some new game options, such as the option to play as any leader-civilization combination, the option to trade away a technology only if you have researched it yourself, and the option to actually choose the religion you found when you discover a technology.
The Cristo Redentor Wonder allows you to switch civics without Anarchy.
So Cristo Redentor can give you the Spiritual trait for a time. Interesting, since it was a trait that could not previously be duplicated in the game with wonders or buildings.

That makes tech-whoring really powerful...

None of the others can - at least, anything that lets you emulate another trait gives people with that trait a bonus too. It strikes me as utterly worthless, beyond culture and GPP, for any Spiritual civ.
They should make it let Spiritual civs switch civics and religions every turn.

I don't really have a problem with Christo Redentor's benefits. It'll be a late-industrial wonder so it's not like a civ will be able to play a [full campaign] game with 3 traits. Also, since spiritual is one of the most powerful traits, what's wrong with weakening it slightly by introducing this wonder?LandMasses Version 3 Now Available since 18/05/2008.
