Do you thing Hitler will ever be a leader or would this be just too controversial?

Oh here comes another.
Okay, the traditional info/disclaimer . Hitler will not be a leader for Germany in the official games. Feel free to discuss the issue in this thread, but be extra careful to keep it clean. Most threads dealing with the subject of Hitler in Civ got closed after taking a few wrong turns, so...Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

Hitler as leader, from Civ4 perspective...
Pluses:
Got Germany out of the Depression
Militarily successful for 2 years, uninterrupted
Managed to hold off the bulk of the rest of the world (USSR, UK, USA) for 3 years
Minuses:
Terrible decision making post 1941
Stubborn, unrealistic expectations, refusal to admit errors or cut losses, near delusional by the end
and, of course, a lot of socially repugnant views..."I'm a guy - I take everything seriously except other people's emotions"
"Never play cards with any man named 'Doc'. Never eat at any place called 'Mom's'. And never, ever...sleep with anyone whose troubles are worse than your own." - Nelson Algren
"A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic." - Joseph Stalin (attr.)

Been awile since we had one these threads.
The main arguement used for those that don't think Hitler should be in is: anything that could be considered supporting of Nazis is stickly banned in Germany. That includes being able to conquer the world as Hitler. Just before Christmas, a little statue of Santa that was pointing up was taken of shelves in Germany because it looked like he was giving the Nazi salute.USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!

I laugh at German efforts to hide the past.
At least they don't have afirmative action plans in place for jews like we have here in America for blacks.
The past is the past. Don't hide from it, don't deny it, but certainly learn from it.
This makes me wonder.... do German history books cover the Nazis? Or do they just leave those 5 years out?
LOL... silly Germans.

If you really want bad old Mr. H, CivFanatics has a very well-made Hitler leaderhead available for download (you can barely tell he was based on Napoleon).

Hittler almost took over the world. Bottom line. He should be a leader.
Stalin killed more innocent people than Hittler, but he is welcome in the game. I'm not even going to comment on leaders like Gengus Khan.
But just because the Germans want to hide from their past, we can't have Hittler.
Perhaps if Firaxis added a scat resource Germany would allow the game with Hittler as a leader. Maybe Firaxis could add in "99 red balloons" as a modern age theme music. Hasslehoff's History of the World maybe?
Silly Germans.
