Does Anyone Else Prefer Civ 3's Graphics Too?

I paid around 200 euro for my 2 gig. 600 for 1 gig is absurd.

Although I really loved those little swordsmen in Civ3, the individual units are better designed in cIV.

However, I HATE the maps in cIV. I want to feel like I'm looking at my empire from an airplane, which I can't do in cIV. The angle that we can view terra firma is headon and terrible from a playable distance. The maps of the fertile crescent, and especially Europe were amazing in civ3. The few realistic maps I've seen do absolutely nothing for me in cIV which makes me sad =(
