true, but we lost our man-o-war in the upgrade from civ3 to civ4, and not really sure about a naval upgrade because i'm not sure anyone else will get anything remotely similar. the other options are (1) you backtrack on the Stonehenge wonder and make it a Brit thing, (2) bring back (or introduce if it was on Call To Power and i've got Alzheimers) Newtons University, (3) Tower Of London but i'm not sure what kinda benefit it should bring, but if it did benefit it might be the bloody french! (4) my fave is houses of parliament - similar to the current Pyramids bonuses
ok, so i have no real ideas, but i try!!

Japan will probably have a suicide-bomber instruction camp, which produces the 'kamikaze' unit - this is able to destroy the American unique building called 'Pearl Harbor'.
Rome will have a 'lion's den' which enables you to feed Christians to the lions.

Somehow I think that Unique Wonders would be better than unique buildings, despite the convenience. The Apolytoner formerly known as Alexander01

Replace Manchester United with David Beckham for the +1 commerce.
Just look at the differance in merchandising sales last year between the clubs Beckham played for.
Also:
Beckham playing for a club = +1 happiness.
Beckham playing for England = +2 unhappiness."What if somebody gave a war and nobody came?" Allen Ginsberg

East India Company for a commerce boost, but would you also have to implement Mercantilism to use it?
I'm also inclined to suggest an increase spying kinda thing, cos our guys are/have been the best spies for years - we even taught Mossad all they know, allegedly
Tower Of London has its appeal, but it was built by the French
There is of course the possibility of nation-specific great people that can perform one, unique wonderous building/event/boost production - thankfully the Brits would have loads to choose from on this one, as would most of the european nations, but Mali??

I know the Brits (or English) took over the name, but there's still a 6-year lag between the foundation in Holland and in England.
