New Patch???

Well it's a safe bet that you're going to know something since you've been involved with the game for quite some time now, even before it was put on the market. Not to mention your role here at Apolyton. It doesn't hurt to give some sort of reassurance to the general player that something will be available soon.

Yes, I do of course know stuff for those reasons, but that doesn't mean that I can give reassurance at any time when I may feel like doing so.

But in this case, I agree it's a good thing that the patch is known to be coming .

So do I, I'm getting a bit tired of these daily "Where's the patch?" threads.

There has only been three or so big ones, that's not too much . You should see how the people on Battlefield 2 forums react in a similar situation.

If you bounce between here and CivFanatics like I do, they're coming up all the time these days. Just last week there were two of them running at the same time over at CivFanatics. Which is probably why Soren felt the need to put in his two cents worth.

Exactly, which is why I'm tired of these threads. A simple query is one thing but sometimes it just ends up becoming a childish rant.

Which is why I, as said, rarely check CFC. Threads there indeed have the tendency to degenerate into childish rants or even have original posters by people who think they know everything about the game production process, and could do everything at it better, too. Here, at least most criticism is costructive (not all, though, for sure).

I've never been much over at CFC, they aren't my cup of tea after what I've seen. But their news section is often much better than Apolyton it seems. Too bad for me I'm too used to visiting Apolyton to remember checking them very often...

Now I think about it, I don't think I've had a single Civ4 crash since I upgraded my hardware. I know that's not the optimal answer for many people but it worked for me.
