Civ2 was and is a great game, but time has done too much damage to it unfortunately.

That's true enough. Poor, poor obsolete graphics. Albeit I think it was the most addictive game I ever played. Not like silly Civ3 that was like somebody's failed chemistry experiment!

I wish there was a hybrid between Civ2 and Alpha Centauri. That would have rocked! Two best games ever.

Considering the amount of time between both games, to say
CIV3 was superior to CIV2 in various aspects is a bit moot.

But CIV2 still have far better support for mods and a far slicker control method...

                  So there.

                    C3's editor was more powerful.

What do you mean, control method?

                      1)
                      CIV3 lacked decent scenario tools.

                      2)
And CIV2 is better modded without the buggy editor you got with the game.

Civ3 had more options, but was much less user friendly.

Civ2 was very easy to mod, and excellent results were possible with a minimum of effort.

Civ3, well, let's just say some people who bought the game when it first came out are still working on their scenarios for it. As for myself, I decided it'd just be easier to wait for Civ4 -- because it'd be out before I finished if I had tried to start back then...

Well, CIV is CIV is CIV, as they say.

                          It is all good.

November is far too long to wait! Gosh!

                            Civ4!

C3 lacked events. In every other area of moddability it completely owned C2.

You couldn't do that much more with Notepad than with the editor included in FW...

You're kidding, right? The C3 editor is incredibly simple.
