November 8, 2005 is my guess. Aren't all games released on Tuesdays or is that only dvds/cds?
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

2006. And no patches, please.
Seconded. I'd be perfectly fine with 2006. Perhaps June. Or September. Or November. Or whatever, if only it is a finished product. I will gladly pay twice the usual price for a game. Or thrice.
Unfortunately this is wishful thinking. The release date will be November 22nd, 2005. It will be rushed. It will be buggy. The first patch will be out before christmas and fix about 15% of the issues. Happy Holidays!
0900 15 nov Civ iv on sale
the really interesting bet is the time of the first bug report........
my guess is there'll be one posted before the offcial release time

About release dates:
EBgames.com works tirelessly with game publishers to ensure accurate release dates on our site. Occasionally, publishers decide to delay production to improve quality or add new features. Sometimes dates move forward; more often they move back and frequently they get changed more than once.
If a game is scheduled for release far in the future, the publisher may not even give us a date. In those cases we rely on the collective wisdom of our buying staff to estimate a date based on their knowledge of the industry and the publisher's history.
We guarantee that we will always post the best information provided by publishers. We know that you want that hot new game yesterday and we want to be the company that gets it to you quicker than anyone else.
