    Beta 1 has 2 elements inside the civ4 folder: the mods/AOD folder, and the publicmaps/AOD.civ4WBS file. If both are deleted, it will be 'uninstalled'

    Beta 2 will overwrite anything that it needs to. You do not need to remove beta 1 to make beta 2 work

    Note: an 'installation/uninstallation' normally requires changes to your windows system files, registry values, etc. Civ4 mods do not do this. They're more like plug-ins than installations.

      To "uninstall" Beta1 you just need to delete the Age of Discovery mod folder, and the Age of Discovery map from the PublicMaps folder.

          How about a scripted event (maybe player-triggerable) where all of his cities in the new world (West of whatever Y-coordinate) and all of his other cities split into two different factions. Is this possible? It would be like when the American colonies seperated and declared their indepencence from England. I have no idea how this would be done but I figured you'd be the one to ask if it is possible.

          If it is possible you might even make it a victory requirement where the player has to split from the parent country and only then can he qualify for any of the victory conditions. Just a (probably lame) suggestion.

            One way to do this would be to have resource yields (like food/production and commerce), which would build up to produce a cargo unit. The rate of yield accumulation would depend on the quality of the improvement. Better improvements (enabled by different technologies) produce bigger yields. This would, however, add layers of complications

              Hey Dale,

              You are probably already aware of this but, with Python error trapping enabled, there seems to be an error when pulling up Demographics screen.

              I get the following error message:

                    • Well during the run-through, I must say this is the best effort I've seen from the AI in regards to colonising.

                      In the screenshot (I'm French in Florida) there are 3 Spanish, 4 Portugese, 2 English and 4 French cities. The Dutch had 2 up in Canada but one is now gone (destroyed by Indians I assume).

                      Anyways, Beta2 should be up tomorrow.
