IDP is sitting at 10 teams. Is that what we're going with, or are we recruiting for 12?
Also need to finalize scoring and draft rules, set draft order, decide on draft start date...

Same as last year, except I'm going to go ahead and add TE to the flex position. It seems like there was enough support for that and little enough objection to go with it.

Only ten teams; that will be different.
Sloww drafting last in both leagues is pretty funny, actually. Butt he's a planner by trade; he can handle it. And Ben gets to draft near the top for once. I suppose I'd better get my lists finalized.
Also, are we doing the same as the past in draft procedure (time between picks, BAPAY procedure, etc.)?

I have a lot of concerns going on right now, I really didn't need this aggravation. All is the same, let's go. Don't feel like it's mandatory to milk the clock.![]()

Again, Ben? Really? There's absolutely no need to screw around with draft order trades, especially in a 10-team league. There is plenty of talent at the end of R1.
Can we please just draft like a regular league?

I'm not talking about draft order trades. I'm talking about swapping spots so Slowwy gets my spot.Again, Ben? Really? There's absolutely no need to screw around with draft order trades, especially in a 10-team league. There is plenty of talent at the end of R1.

The poor guy is last in one league already. Do you really want an unhappy Slowwy?!

1. "The poor guy" is IMHO drafting in the best spot possible. Sloww gets two of the top 11 picks - a distinct advantage. (Maybe that's why you're "generously" offering to swap spots with him?) He will also be the first player to complete his roster. Why this would make him unhappy is beyond me. Maybe it's just his base state.
2. "We use random chance to establish the draft order, unless someone doesn't like it," just does not fly with me. The draft order was fairly arrived at. I regard it as written in stone.
I'm actually not too concerned about this, since Sloww has a well-developed sense of justice and fair play. I'm confident that, even if he doesn't like the draft order, he will take it like the man he is and make the best of it.

...and thus, the policy on trades in IDP:
- All trades are public and final. There are no "future considerations", if there is a trade then the terms are specific and stated outright at the time of the trade. Only players and draft positions are available for trade during the draft. Obviously this is unenforceable in reality, so multiple trades between the same two people will be subject to review. In short, you can try to make a private deal for something in the future, but if you're on the end that's not getting everything in part A of the plan then there is significant risk that you won't get part B at all. Just something to keep in mind during negotiations.
- A player that is on the clock can not trade the current pick. I am not waiting four hours for somebody to respond and turn down a trade just so the original owner of the pick can use it as they would have four hours ago. All trades involving picks must be publicly announced in the draft thread before the picks involved come up.
- If you are involved in a trade, you are responsible for updating the draft order to reflect all changes. If you trade your third and sixth for somebody else's fourth and fifth, then you need to post the complete new draft order through round six.
- If you really intend to swap your entire draft, then you need to do it before -Jr makes the first pick (which he is able to do anytime he feels like at this point).
I'll copy these to the draft thread so everybody can see what the rules are.

I have returned to full internet access, but I'm majorly jetlagged; last time I slept on land was in Chania, Crete, and now I'm all the way back on the US East Coast.

Yeah, I realize he's not in vogue as a #1 overall pick, but there's really no reason why he can't be.

Do you think Sean Payton might have mixed feelings about this year? Let's forecast a Super Bowl win for the Saints. How much is he needed?
How much time is left on his contract? His leverage will be nil.

I think the Saints offensive system will go along unchanged. (Why would you change it? It works.) I think losing Payton will make a difference most on the tactical stuff like surprise plays and clock management, where Payton is notoriously aggressive and tricky. I think that won't affect fantasy football scoring, but it might affect real life W/L records a little bit.

I bring it up here, but I meant real life. In spite of losing his ability to do surprise plays and clock manage, what if they won it all, without him?
