Its more of the same but better, Im pleased! I would have bought it for the MP alone but the SP campaign has made me tingle a few times. Soap raping an unexpecting Russian in a corridor springs to mind. That right there is why the SAS has the reputation it has
The campaign is pretty good action wise - I'll finish it today. The story is very lazy though. I don't expect Dickens, but the last game had enough to make the game hang together as an experience. This time its just action packed sequences linked together by weak cutscenes.
The co-op is great though (and addresses the length issue as its the same as the campaign if not longer), and I've not played much MP yet but it looks great too.
I finished the SP campaign yesterday. The action is far more intense than CoD4. In CoD4 there was usually a clear front where enemies rarely spawned from flanking positions. In MW2 the bullets really fly from everywhere and there are some parts I had to respawn quite a few times before figuring out where all enemies were.
Secondly, in some levels there is little distinction between friend or foe. Friendly fire plays a much larger part if you dont watch out. Also I got shot in the back a few times because i just walked by a soldier i thought was an ally.
I found the story weak and silly with so idiot one-liners in the cut scenes. The characters become flat in comparison to CoD4. The after taste is something comparable to Pirates of the Caribean 1 and 2. All the succesfull pieces of the first part are copypasted into its sequal but moar of it.
